They say a little shepherd boy from Lut Gholein was traveling through the Canyon of the Magi, threw a rock in the entrance of Tal Rasha’s Tomb, and heard a shattering noise. Upon investigating the object he had hit, Lo and behold, hidden within an earthen vessel nestled between some Horadric scrolls, was an enchanted album of D2 lofi beats. Blessed be that little shepherd boy for coming across such chill beats.
There was something harsh, gritty, cruel, barren, dirty, rustic, and gruelling about Diablo 2's environment and world. It felt as though it was constantly eating away at you, wearing you down, rotting a little bit each hour, each day. That the decay was not only everywhere, but inevitable that you would succumb to it or at least be completely exposed to it, and it was overwhelming to fight against or resist. Diablo 2 was a world that had seen the peak of its days a long, long time ago, and everyone knew it as well. It was an exhausting fight to just live there, let alone do something noble.
Yes, the atmosphere of D1 and D2 can never be replicated. The muted color themes, the pixelated textures, the sparse environments, the solitary ruins and the small towns barely populated. It was like a world that was recovering after a massive cataclysm that had wiped out most of humanity. It was a great feeling. The they ruined it in D3 with cartoony graphics and oversaturated color schemes. It was much too lively and too colorful for a Diablo game. It felt jarring. At first i was turned off by it, but it was a decent game and my frend got me into it. I am so happy they did the D2 Ressurected right. Such a good game that i still play to this day.
I used to indulge in the melodies of popular video game OSTs every day while working. However, this experience is breathing new life into them, offering a fresh perspective and invigorating my appreciation for the music.
Man, this is my absolute favorite of your music! Been playing Diablo II since childhood and these beats are perfect to listen to while game developing. Thanks for making these gems! ❤
I like how the beginning of "Rogue" has a sample of the Diablo 2 sound for drinking potions (or maybe it was moving them around the stash). Anyway great work as always :) :) :)
This goes so hard. It will never stop amazing me, the things the D1+2 community is still coming up with. D3+4 will never have fans that love them as much as we adore 1+2. The atmosphere is just something else. Such great memories from my childhood.
Hands down the best channel for background music while working - and the catalogue grows every week somehow. May I also say what incredible taste you have Bits&Hits - Diablo 2 was screaming for a good lofi beats adaptation.
The music is really well done. But what strikes me is the animation of the video. No matter how impressive and realistic graphics for games get, this style always holds a special place for me. Simple but I really like it :)
A hand drawn pixelated version of this game sounds actually quite dope. Also Blackthrone was a great classic not many people talk about anymore which had great gameplay and pixel art.
Making the LoD title screen instead of rushing into the tristram theme is a strong indicator of what puts this channel above the rest, even official blizz: love for the source material. Thank you so much. I've not finished listening to the songs here, but if you would, please consider the Siege theme as well...
Okay, 15 seconds in, I know Im in the right place. There's something about these old school Zelda-esque beats (not sure of exactly what this sound is called) that I've always loved.
I like this so much. The animated artwork is wonderful and goes so well with the music. If the artwork wasn't there or if it was static instead of animated, this wouldn't be as great. But this IS great!!
"Rush NM PLZ Help" and other random acts of kindness at 1 am. If he only knew his dark fate.... Thank you YT algorithm. Still think that D1 and D2 were revolutionary for their time: Hall of fame for their OST, master piece by Matt Uelmen. Props to this lofi ;)
Marvelous, wonderful job!! The official Blizzard lo-fiing of the OST was very weak. What you have done is simply fantastic work that i will be rotating for many years to come. Great work with all of them!!!
Just came across the "Diablo Archive" 4 novel collection spanning 2000-2002 (primo) at an ANTIQUE store (God help us all...) and I nabbed it for 5$... Now that I've discovered this lo-fi gem (amazing work) I will be listening while I read the stories... As well as the original score

mononoke 💙 tysm for this channel 🥰
I came here to suggest Heroes 3 but I see someone beat me to it!! that would be epic.
These beats are so chill, I just had to stay a while and listen.
Dammit.. take your thumbs up and get out.
Chill, Mr. Cain.
Legendary reference, though. I can appreciate that.
nice.
thank you for this brilliant comment
Somewhere and somewhen it'll always be autumn 2000.
and then 2001, THE LORD OF FCKING DESTRUCTION LETZZZ GOOOO
I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them.
Those were the greatest times
@@VisionVerbale I remember September 2001 - to like jun 2002, every Tuesday was Hell Cows.
yes, RSI on that thumb for showing all items via alt
Diablo 1 and 2 still have some of the best video game OSTs ever, IMO.
Thanks for lofi-ing it.
agreed! as fans ourselves, the pleasure was all ours.
Warcraft II is pretty damn good too, vanilla blizzard is fire
@@marcben7754 So is Starcraft. Yep, the original Blizzard made masterpieces.
all blizzard games music is better than the games
Mix in there Simphony of the Night. Fire i say.

Blessed be he indeed!
whats a shepperd boy doing in the middle of the god damn desert?
He got eaten by bigfoots
CZcams algorithm coming in with solid gold out of nowhere. Thank you for the beautiful lo-fi nostalgia
I sense a soul in search of beats.
Chef's kiss with that, my fellow wanderer.
jep that's a no 1
I am currently doing Baal runs to this on a Friday night. It's a vibe.

while i agree, D1 embodies that exact feeling even way way more

@@NinjaSushi2 as if you could even attempt a fraction of pontification.
A perfectly tragic rendering of our current reality
I've been living on this channel these last few months, and it's been powering my workdays like nothing else has! Love the artwork, and the music.
many thanks!!
The warmth of life has entered my study session. Prepare yourself, mortal..
warmth is wasted skill points noob
*Ribcage rattling intensifies*
as someone with over 10,000 hours in this game, you have made my day my friend
10 thousand? damm
Quand on aime on ne compte pas.
@@canaldodorn839 if you have been playing since day one , its not hard to get there bud . trust me
10 thousand hours? Is that possible?
The artwork you create for your videos is absolutely stunning. Look at that fire go...
Seriously, can you make us a game?! 🙂
Is it a sprite system?
The nostalgia hit hard with this one.
Great for listening in the background while being busy doing nothing
Go get that shako fam 😂
Which nostalgia? You know the game has a recent remake, right? Diablo 2 is not a game from the past.
I recently started playing the remastered version of Diablo 2, and I've been getting a lot of content like this in my feed.
I'm not sad about it.
Couldn't help but to stay awhile and listen
I used to indulge in the melodies of popular video game OSTs every day while working. However, this experience is breathing new life into them, offering a fresh perspective and invigorating my appreciation for the music.
Man, this is my absolute favorite of your music! Been playing Diablo II since childhood and these beats are perfect to listen to while game developing. Thanks for making these gems! ❤
thank you for listening to them!!! ❤️
I'm absolutely enchanted by the fusion of Diablo's dark fantasy world with these soothing lofi beats. ❤
I like how the beginning of "Rogue" has a sample of the Diablo 2 sound for drinking potions (or maybe it was moving them around the stash). Anyway great work as always :) :) :)
who would imagine that diablo ost would be so good to hear in lofi style
Best game I ever played... and you just brought it back to life in anew way. Thank you for the novel nostalgia, my friend,
thank you, we're huge fans too and hope to give the original music some love! :)
Bro, you never disappoint! The sound, atmosphere and the artwork...Masterpiece!
This is really good. This old Diablo fan highly approves and appreciates.
thank you!
This piece changed my perception to music i listen for about 23 years.
"Thank ya" ; )
The Lut Gholein "Desert" lo-fi remix absolutely slaps. Stood out the most to me out of the whole playlist.
Definitely the best one imo as well.
This goes so hard. It will never stop amazing me, the things the D1+2 community is still coming up with. D3+4 will never have fans that love them as much as we adore 1+2. The atmosphere is just something else. Such great memories from my childhood.
This is soooooo good. The first song sets the tone.
There is nothing that goes harder than sitting on the menu.
duuuuuude....
Man, the LoD one hits just right. Thanks for this, I'll be using this on my twitch stream (with appropriate credits of course)
To the beats…always to the beats.
hey i understood that reference
lol, good one.
those chords in the beginning hit my soul directly
Desert was my fav song from the OST and you’ve masterfully enhanced it. Well done!
thank you, means a lot!

this reminded my myself, playing Diablo 1 on old PC at my grandmothers country house 25 years ago. damn) thank you.
The potion-drinking sound effect in Rogue is just awesome ;)
Please don't stop. Starcraft next, please? Seriously. You have talent. Keep at it.
That is the best Diablo loFi and General LoFi ever. The beat is sublime and everything fits in so perfectly...awesome
thank you, really appreciate it!
You've got quite a treasure there in those lofi beats.
Amazing how we can squeeze something special down and make it sound exactly like everything else.
Yeah... we should've made "art but it's a Devilishly Cute! Red Red Ruby Sticker" instead 👍
This was great for my osrs grind, thank you!
Lol holy shoot, I somehow forgot this comment.. I literally just had the same experience twice... this is wild..
