Excellent video! Followed your instructions and got the Roku up and running with no issues.
This little Roku box is surprisingly good, considering the low cost. I would recommend it to anyone, but to new cord cutters in particular. Roku really is the easiest one to set up and use, not a lot of clutter on the screen like Fire sticks. Now I can also recommend this video and this channel to new cord cutters!
You can skip entering payment information during setup, there is an option all the way at the bottom of the screen to skip. Just wanted people to know that. I never added payment to Roku, I subscribe to services via the individual websites.

wow that roku express 4k+ is the bomb ya'll lol, i just installed one on my LG smart tv, after it has been
giving me wifi connection issues. This roku is a super upgrade, no joke, super fast. Now i can access
all the apps i want lol, especially the ones the lg content store couldn't lol.

Thank you for the video on how to set up a Roku Express 4K. I did so today on our 2018 Samsung TV in the family room so we could subscribe to CZcams LiveTV and cut the cable cord. Very helpful!!!! I would like to add CZcamsLive TV to our small LG TV we just set up in the bedroom. How do I add a second device to CZcamsLiveTV? Do I need to install a Roku device on that TV as well? I'm a bit nervous about setting up CZcamsLiveTV on the second device and getting charged another $65. Thank you again for your videos. They are so easy to follow!
You can sign in with the same email as your first TV - no extra charge. If your LG is newer, search the App Store for CZcams TV. Otherwise you would need another Roku or similar device. Let me know how it goes!

You don't need a cable box with this! You follow the instructions in the video, which will link it up to your home internet, and you'll have access to hundreds of free and paid streaming apps. Enjoy! Hi… keep having issues with CZcams staying on the Roku. Do you know how to resolve this? I removed it, put it back on and rebooted the TV removed it put it back on, rebooted, put it back on.

If I subscribe to Spectrum in FL during the winter, can I get Spectrum in my rural area home in WI when not in Florida? We have a somewhat highspeed internet.
Unfortunately, I don't know much about Spectrum because I only lived where it was available for one year of my life. You can call them and ask about restrictions for using the Spectrum app outside the home.
Can you hard wire to the internet or do you have to usr Wi-Fi?
If you want to do that, I suggest getting a Roku that has an Ethernet port -- like the Roku Ultra.
How do you connect it to soundbar??
Great tutorial! However, you only address new users and not already established Roku users. I wish you would address the process for "upgrading" from an older device (that's already hooked in) to the newer Roku Express 4K+ device. Thanks....Geo
I have a question. How do you install the new Roku if you have an old version of Ruko already installed. Do you disconnect the old Ruko then install the new one? If so, will it show all the apps that was previously on the old one? I hope this makes sense.
When you install the new one, you can sign in with the same email associated with your Roku account so things sync.

Concise and knowledgeable video, but it doesn't work on my TV, it won't let me set-up to onscreen instructions, my questions is, is it only works on smart TV? I use old model TV because I just use it supposedly in watching streaming shows inside my room
You don't need a smart TV. You need a TV with an HDMI input. The Roku turns your TV into a smart TV. You may need to contact them or your TV manufacturer.

This is a couple years old! Roku Ultra is their premium device.

That’s a personal decision. I like both. If you get the Ultra, find it on sale. It’s been $70 the past few weeks, down from $100.
The biggest differences are the memory capacity and the speed, I believe.
With the bigger memory you can store more apps and load them quicker.
I have the 2018 Ultra and I wouldn't want any other model.
The only issue I have with the 2021 Ultra is not being able to boost memory even more with a MICRO SD card.

Hi! Depends on the model. For Roku Ultra, Amazon sells mounts that you could put behind the TV on the wall. Also the Roku Streaming Stick model is great for wall-mounted TVs because it is so small. Good question!
What do I do if at the part where I have to sign up for 4 offers or free trials and there’s no continue button ever how do I get past that because I already have these apps and signed up for them I don’t need to again?
You should be able to scroll to the bottom and just skip all that. I think I showed that in the video. I ignore all the offers.

You will need a router/modem. You then use that internet connection to communicate with the Roku.
Did you know Roku pulled CZcamstv from their streaming line up? So terrible because I can’t watch tv now. We have Roku on all our TVs. They are WiFi ready TVs but the you tube tv app is not available. Any solutions?

My TV (RCA) has a nice long HDMI cord already plugged into it Can I plug this into my Roku Express 4K? The HDMI that comes with my Roku is very short.
I think you need to use the Roku one. They offer a free extender for people who need it. my.roku.com/HDMI

Do you have your input set to the HDMI where you plugged in your Roku?
I'm a beginner here. In the chapter, "Create a Roku account," that means before I even start installing the Roku device to my TV, I have to establish an account (s) with streaming services. This might be a stupid question, 🙁but how does Roku get the info that I have a subscription with a certain streaming service, which I had to pay or subscribe on trial, before this step? Appreciate all your help with your channel.
Hi. Think of Roku as a streaming device/platform, not a service. You use the Roku as your passport to subscribe to paid services or download free apps. Once you set up the Roku, you can log in to your existing streaming services using the same usernames and passwords you have.

Setup Roku power and volume control don't work ?
You have to power on with your usual remote then you can power off with the roku one.
My vol works most of the time but sometimes it doesn't which bugs me. Then it'll start working on it's own again. But I have my cable remote close by so I can use it if I have to. Not sure if roku has a fix for this issue.
Other than that the whole set up runs pretty darn good.

My Roku 2 player just conked out . I had it since 2016. I already have a Roku account. This should be a great replacement but thete is no ethernet cable.

I'm unable to pair it with my JVC non smart TV...I can't get pass "Do you still hear the music".... I clicked on yes over and over.
My set up screen (pair your remote) has frozen. I can follow instructions; I’ve pressed the button inside battery compartment for 5 seconds, green light blinks….then nothing.
Did anyone give you a good solution for this? I'm having the same issue with the Express 4k remote. I can't get it past the pair the remote screen. Argh :-)
@@jherc135 No, but I did finally get it to work. I took everything apart and started from scratch. It seemed like I did all of the steps before, but the last time it worked. Go figure.

I activated my email, etc and my roku is still stuck on the screen where it says activation link is being sent. Ive done this 3 times not sure what's going on.
So you went to your email and followed the steps on your phone until it said setup is complete, but it still is stuck?
