- Thousands of people flocked to the streets of the San Francisco Sunset District for their first 'Night Market.' This gives people a chance to enjoy the city nightlife, culture and unique food.

Of course, the SF residents would make huge crowd in the market. Where else they can go, shop, and have fun? All the malls and retails shops were gone and shut down ...lmao
This is the future shopping malls in SF. SF residents deserve it and feel proud of their local leaders who got such "inspiration".

This thing is very common in Asia. Even the Philippines got these night markets. Why not SF, right?
I imagine parking would be an absolute nightmare in this area during this event. Its already bad just on a normal weekday.

Sucks! There is absolutely NO public parking and NO public restrooms! Should do this at the Stonestown Mall!

I am in Berlin right now. It feels really safe on the streets any time of the day. I rarely saw any drug users and dealers, homeless, mentally ill or crime.
However, I do not feel safe on SF streets any time of the day. Besides all the above-mentioned problems, often there are errant bicyclists and scooter riders on the sidewalk and dangerous motorists.
If SF wants people to go out, deal with the crime, enforce laws, make people accountable for their actions.

Berlin has about the same number of homeless people as SF according to their own statistics. The squalor is hardly hidden any better. Stop pretending like propaganda is real life. The issues that exist in SF's Tenderloin exist everywhere. Unlike you, we are not hiding them and pretending like they don't exist. We're actively dealing with them.

There have been incidents like this already in the sunset area, just not as frequently as the downtown area .....only for now though.
