Tiny is so handsome love his color glad he has a forever home and his new friend to
We're super happy we could help him transition to a new home too!
Those surrenders looked like they were loved. I am so glad you're there to take owner surrenders. I couldn't imagine having no choice but to sell my best friend, and desperately hope that whoever takes them would be a good person. With you, they know the horses are going to be safe.
They were really loved.
That buckskin is STUNNING 🧡🧡🧡
I like your videos
Oh how I love Tiny...so happy that he has a home...🐎
So awesome. I love the two surrenders, paint and buckskin. Gorgeous horses. I am so glad they are in good hands with you all
They are truly beautiful horses!
Thank yall for your time, efforts, & energy helping horses ♥️🐴♥️
We do everything we can!
@@hphs OMG I love what you do
@@hphs OMG I love what you do
And it’s great people in the US will take the golden oldies, to spend their lives out in peace and grace!😊
So glad to hear Jessie isn’t leaving...she does great job.
Yes she is!
Jessie ..Sarah and Mady got sacked the following yr for working with a horse trader..
Bess here,I think 💭 well I know that wouldn’t be able to contain myself,,,you lot are doing a marvellous work THANKYOU
Jasper is adorable... if y’all need a new home for him call me.
Congratulations on having rescued so many horses! So grateful 🐴🙏🏻💖
Thank you so much!
Tawnee's such a pro. I'd be rambling and stumbling over my words on a live interview. haha
Loved seeing Tiny get adopted, and that little glimpse we had of Benjamin. We viewers get attached and invested in these animals, and would love to see more updates on their care, training & progress. Thanks for all you do.
It's not a live interview. She's not on stage, she's not on video (that's her friend videoing her). She's on the phone. It's a very, very, very easy interview.
@@gingerbaker4579 Your point? Tawnee is a pro. She did an interview on the fly with a news station. She was not reading from a script. It went out to television viewers and she got the message of HPHS across to the viewers clearly & succinctly.
It was a very, very, very WELL DONE interview. Yeesh.
What do you get out of being dismissive?
❤️❤️love your episodes and everything you do congrats to all the 115 horses saved this year!
Thank you so much! We've been working hard and are excited that the weekly episodes are starting up again!
Blessings to you alk♥️‼️🥰☮️
I love those two horses! Wish I had a place for horses I would adopt both in a flat minute.
Aww how awesome is Travis I hope him and Alyssa have a wonderful happy life together wishing them all the best for their bright future
Thank you so much, they are really awesome and very happy together!
This is awesome what y’all are doing!!! Almost all my horses are rescues! Kirby and river we rescued from a k!ll pen fancy was VERY neglected sorrel mare just got thrown out in a field I’m just so glad y’all are doing this!!!!
That is awesome, thank you so much for saving their lives!
Thank you, Tawnee, for rescuing over 6,500 horses this year as reflected in your television interview. You saved the Wisconsin organization and your leadership in horse welfare rescue is marvelous. By the way, your hair looks fab, you look like you're glowing, and you are the obvious face for Horse Plus Humane Society. Amazing video of your team!
The man who does the feed really cares about his horses and his explanations about the paste made sense to me. Your handler / trainers are very good with the wide variety of horses you rescue. She was funny about washing one side of the big horse, Tiny.
I was worried about Tiny's not having any teeth, being in his late 20s and thus more unlikely to be adopted, but the horse woman adopted him and the little pony together. She said he would stay retired with her at his new home and I just about lost it. These senior horses are usually on that train to Mexico. Many blessings! Now I can sleep tonight. Your fan club in California :-D
You do realize that is an impossibly high number? Please research what happens to most of these horses.
@@lindabrown8421 I think that number is actually their total number rescued since 2003 or whenever they were founded.. which would mean their yearly average is less than 400 which is a lot but not impossible. what would happen to those horses if they weren’t rescued by this organization is unimaginable - at least they give them all a fighting chance. Rescue work is not always about taking on the individuals that are fit and healthy therefore of course they are going to have a high number of euthanasia’s as they are often rescuing animals that are already on their last legs and sometimes it is more cruel to keep an animal alive when they are suffering and have no quality of life in these cases giving them countless amounts of drugs just to live a miserable existence would only be for our comfort as humans not theirs. Most organizations that deal with very unwell and severely mistreated animals will have an extremely high euthanasia rate as a lot of the animals arrive to them in critical condition and their previous owner did not take responsibility in taking them out of their pain before it was too late so that then becomes the responsibility of the rescue.
Just found this channel and have watched almost all videos. Thank you for all you do for the horses and donkeys ❤️ Sending you a donation from Sweden 🇸🇪
So Thoughtfull 115 is very Kind for our Spiritual Majestic 4 legged Sports Champs..
Catching up.. God knew what he/they was doing when he/they picked you for this job. Amazingly done!!
Great episode! So glad that you're getting the fantastic news coverage that you all deserve! Thanks for clarifying the trainer position. Showing growth! Awesomeness!🥰🥰
We are very excited to be growing and helping more horses.
Both of those horses that got surrendered are in great condition! They are beautiful and apparently they both were very well taken care of. Thanks for all you do for those majestic animals! ❤️❤️❤️❤️👍👍👍
Hi again
Great job with that live interview! Have to believe you've helped introduce people to this situation and to the wonderful work you all are doing but also planting the seed to changing minds in a better way in parting with their horse.
Thank you as always for all you do for the horses. God bless...
Thank you!
Love this! The surrendered paint reminds me of Little Joe's horse on Bonanza. Our 80 year old neighbor has a mare that he keeps saying he's going to have to rehome.
I'm to the age where I only adopt horses that have an expiration date before mine. But having them keeps me young and as fit as one can be in their seventies.
SO EXCITED FOR THE NEW SEASON!
Us to, so much has been happening we are so excited to start sharing it on a weekly basis once again!
Congratulations, Tiny & Rosey!!!!
I’m looking at adopting Jasper and saw him as the thumbnail and got so excited!
How wonderful to know there are people out there like Tawnee and her crew fighting for horses! I had no idea they were sold at auction for slaughtering for human consumption 😡 so sickening to me, horses have always been part of my family we cherish them......
Wish I were younger, I’d love to be part an organization who rescues these amazing creatures 💕🙏💯
God bless you all
Thank you so much for your kind words!
The interview for the news was great! Many people got to hear about you! :) One thing though, I think it should have been added expressively that many, many of these horses brought to the auction are in a dreadful condition, suffering terribly, they aren't having pain medication or anything to alleviate their torment while they journey long distances, some with broken legs and open sores and more. This should be absolutely illegal. But this is also the part that many people are unaware of. People may not mind eating horse meat, and they may think that it's good that there's at least some use for the horses that are no longer wanted by people. So if these people would become aware what's actually happening, how animal abuse is rampant in this industry of selling horses to slaughter, how the animals suffer terribly for prolonged periods of time and long journeys, there may be a better uprising against this practice and getting more humane laws in place to prevent animal abuse of this nature.
Yes even 4 trainer handlers are not enough for your size of operation and what you are doing there as time is of high priority to move out horses before next auction. Keep up good work. Great job.
I believe the Standardbred registered name is "Can Any Body Play " 2004 .. that's just a quick glance at the brand
Tiny, LOL Just like my father said there's always a guy nicknamed Tiny on a construction job and he's a moose. Tiny looks like a sweet big guy.
My heart leaped seeing a Standardbred ❤️❤️❤️❤️ ☺️
My niece adopted Tiny and Rosie and they are thriving! Amy renamed Rosie Wanda. It suits her! LOL! She is all over her acreage having a blast! Tiny, now Sullivan gets daily grooming, which he loves and is gaining weight. He is loved very much.
I love the surrendered horses. I wish this would be possible to do where I life too, but I would have to stack them up in my stamp size back yard!!! :D

I would be crying all the way home after adopting Tiny and Rosy, Lucky woman...god bless you❤️❤️❤️
Ahh that's so sweet!
Fantastic job Tawnee!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼❤️
Thank you! 🤗
Everyone at horse plus are true heroes, thanks for all you do
Moving horse trainers and handlers to the office - what are you doing, get office people - easier to find
wow. just wow! Tinys and rosies new mama is the just a wonderful woman. she came with an apple and new gear for him!! i wish i could do this! i’m a city girl but hope to one day do something like this when i’m in my 40s.
Great interview! I hope it turned into you being able to rescue more horses! Maybe someone out there needed to re-home their horse and because of this they knew where to take them. I hope you opened some people’s eyes to what happens at those auctions. ❤️❤️❤️
Love watching the good work you do from here in Yorkshire England
Keep doing the good things you do and thanks for sharing. You all have a nice safe day!!!
Thanks, you too!
Thank you for doing all this work for these horses ♡
Thank you for your kind words!
I wish I lived in Tennesse. Being a trainer at this facility would be a dream.
Beautiful animals! 💘 💘
They are!
All of you are just awesome!!! God bless you and all the horses
A big thank you for rescuing these horses and I had noticed a few of them are not well and that some did what you can and it’s never easy nor does it get any easier but I love ❤️ all animals you rescue 🥕🥕🥕
So well done your amazing guys, and if the horses could talk they would say “ thank you for saving us “ I know they would be SO GRATEFUL. LIKE WE ARE to you guys for doing this amazing work. So I say “ THANK YOU to you ALL “
I’m very interested in Jasper. There’s something majestic I see in him.

Buckskin already worried about being separated...poor guy
Such a beautiful horse!
@@hphs ya I really like him. looks like he was foundered at one time...his neck . ..wish I wasn't all the up in Washington State.
OMG 114 SO FAR THIS YEAR!!! 💞💯🙏🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
We help every horse we can!
You did awesome! That question about human consumption was strange and these animals are so abused that even so, any animal should be treated humanely in life including up to the minute of being harvested....
Awesome job.
Owner surrenders are vital to stop some of the starvation cases and some of the unnecessary suffering due to lack of owners asking for help!
I agree! Owner surrenders help catch these horses BEFORE they get sent to auction!
Yes owner surrender is something we have done since our inception.
wow. This is truly amazing. My family and I grew up in an area that animals don't really matter to most people wouldn't even consider helping chained up dogs that have no food or water. It was really sad. We always did what we could for the animals when we had the chance but it really wasn't enough to permanently help them. Now I live in a place where animals are treasured like gold and it makes me so happy every time to see people like you focusing your life on giving these horses a better one.
You did a great job of the interview. You have a wonderful personality,
No wonder your staff all love you.
Old Johnno down under.

Thank you!!
Howenwald must be a special place to be home to your rescue as well as the elephant rescue too
Tiny is beautiful!
Tiny isn't so tiny is he? He is definitely gorgeous!
Jasper is amazing!❤❤❤ Toby's looking good too.
You are doing a great job
You guys are great 😊
Thanks for watching and your kind words!
You guys are amazing thank you so much and plz keep doing this I have watched all your ads so you get the money I’m so sry I can’t donate
You are very professional always. You have never nothing to worry about. As retired journalist I interviewed many and some of them were not easy. You are way way on opposite side.
I don't know about horses, but humans, dogs and cats need the thyroid medikation 30 min before food. If you mix it in the food,it won't be absorbed...@12:30
Jasper is amazing! Oh how I wish I had room for another horse! Please find him a good home! The same goes for all of them of course!
I wish I was closer. I'm in Oregon..... you get a alot of horse and I wash I could adopt some of them
First of all, I want you to know that I think what you do is fantastic. I believe you're all good people trying to do your very best and more to save horses from a life of absolute torture. I know you take every care you can to avoid injuries to horses and riders themselves during the process of rehoming. Just one thing though.I read a comment some time ago about asking your shelter to use a step for all people to get up on the horses. I don't know a lot about horses but watching that person, in this episode, lean her full body weight on one stirrup before she actually made it up onto the horse was not pleasant to watch. That poor horse had a full body of weight pulling on its back. I understand that is a very minimal few seconds of discomfort compared to what those poor horses have gone through but just for each horse, a small rule by your organisation would be so simple to do.
You are very perceptive for someone who doesn’t know too much about horses. Totally agree with everything you said about HPHS amazing work but seeing that person - who was interviewing for the trainer position!! - haul them-self into the saddle was hideous to watch. I have had the pleasure of caring for my horses for 40years and would never ever ever get on one of mine without a mounting block. Oh how I wish HPHS insisted one was used. Or a leg up for those that will not stand.
I can’t wait until I have the resources to do this, for now I do one at a time 🥺❤️
The second horsetrainer could'nt even get on normal and when she was finaly up she dropped in the Saddle like a bag of potatos, that realy hurts a horse!! Also, when asking a trot she was harsch with her legs.
Yep. I would NOT hire her. No kind touch there.... which is what these horses need.
You did awesome girl.
Thank you!
I like information as a practice if interviewer
I am just self-funded and have a smaller property so can only take in 1 or 2 rescues at a time! Let me know if you can help out or if you watch my video from the auction
remember if u cant donate just dont skip ads they can make money from that too! ;) its the little things that can make a big impact
also jasper is soooo cute!!!!!!!!!!
you did awesome
Glad to hear you loved it!
I sooo wish i lived close enough to work here
Thx u
💖Love u guys
OMG! Jasper is my dream horse!😍💋 I would give anything for him!!! Him with all black tack. He is my dream! I want him so so bad!! But I know he will be the first to go and someone will get him before I can get there.
Off you go rosey, date included.
Gosh Jasper is so beautiful.
Sure wish i could come apply. I love horses just never around them long enough. Yet i always eatch training video's. Lol my dreams elude me...... I would so move if i had the opportunity to learn and advance.
Some day hopefully you can own a horse of your own!
i love horses
Us too!
