Instead, it's much less ridiculous to harass and nitpick hardworking people over how the absolutely free content they put together for you isn't nearly convenient enough. 🙄

As someone who was still playing an Atari in 1989 (before I finally got an NES of my own and didn’t have to keep going to friend’s house just to play), I’m happy to hear what Atari is doing now with Llamasoft.
It’s a great way to honor the history of the industry and expose new generations of gamers to the intricacies of game design 😁
As a Metroidvania enthusiast (seriously, I play a ton of them) - PoP: The Lost Crown is easily one of the best games in the genre - and it's not a short game. Lot's to do, lot's to revisit, difficult platforming, but overall rewarding and fun.
I've never said this about a game aside from Splatoon 1 and partially Splatoon 2, but I kind of wish Hello Games would give us something to pay for. It's been years since NMS's botched launch, and ever since they've done nothing but constantly update and polish a game to a point where it's surpassed what they had promised. I want to support these devs because of this.

You left off Harold Halibut, the cool sci-fi adventure based on claymation where they literally hand-sculpted everything and digitally scanned it into the game.
Love that game with all my heart. It tells such a beautiful and human story. And it's freaking hilarious too.

I really think game sales or the lack there of are being driven by gamers being sick of AAA publishers treating us like crap. There are several games that are out now or are coming out that I will not be buying simply because EA is selling it. We are tired of being bled dry with no pay-off.
Tactical Breach Wizards release today!!! Probably my favorite game from Next Fest. Balatro is so addicting and Lunar Lander looks cool! I'll check it out.

Scott dungeons of hinterberg is literally made for you but because you skipped the intro scenes it went right over your head. Its not a generic dungeons and loot game.
I LOVE when you do these lists! I've gotten a few great games out of the prior lists that I would have never known about without it and I've added Ghosts of Eden to my list as that looks awesome. Everything might not be my cup of tea but you usually have (at least) one game on these lists that I decide to give a chance because of your recommendations/game footage.
Prince of Persia
So ..... Banishers isn't that good then? Like, way to massively undercut your positive review. If a melee-combat-focussed game has poor melee combat, that's a pretty major death knell.
What you said might hold true for some games but it's very possible Banishers is great in all the other aspects of the game outside of combat. I always thought something like Witcher 3 had boring ass combat but that game is still mostly a masterpiece.

The Witcher 3 is my favorite game, probably of all time and its melee combat was pretty mid if we’re being honest. I haven’t played Banishers yet, but I look forward to it whenever I get the time.
The Witcher series proves you wrong if we're being honest. The number one critique about that series is, and has always been, the melee combat. It sucks compared to the rest of the game. And yet The Witcher series is one of the most successful and popular in all of gaming. Even with the only one who's melee combat is even close to "good" being the latest one, which at time of this video and comment is Witcher 3. Also the video didn't say that "the melee combat sucks", it said that it's the weakest part of the game, and it also said the melee combat isn't the main focus anyway. I don't where you got THAT idea from, it's like you were watching a completely different video from me lol

I hate it when someone picks up a new slang term and they use it constantly...for a few weeks until that slang word is forgotten about.
I was so hyped for Banishers but after spending 10+ hours with it, I fucking hate it. Terrible exploration, awful combat, it's a chore to play.
I really enjoyed this video and added more to my wishlist in spite of an endless backlog.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is such a gem. But I'm honestly having more fun with The Rogue Prince of Persia. More up my valley.

I loved Banishers! I 100% completed it and almost did it again but I’m holding off for just a bit and beating some others first but loved it!

Honestly banishers wasn't that great for me, had mediocre combat, was kinda clunky and priced at $60 if i remember correctly. The most detrimental i would say it had the DEI stamp behind it (no idea how much it does or doesn't have but well if people have made up their minds you won't be switching it) so even the potential casual gamers that might of liked it were deterred away from it.

Dragons Dogma 2 was so disappointing. None of the vocations are fun to play and the game is way too easy. Better getting the first game and having a blast on that instead
I refunded Balatro
Nobody Wants to Die is hands down the best impulse buy I've made this year, and Basnishers (need to proof read your title cards) was an excellent experience. I will be going back for the other ending and to hit 100%.

No you misinterpreted the title. It's the best games that people aren't playing as in they are underrated. Not the best games in general. Just objectively good games that have flown under everyone's radar. And I wholeheartedly agree with it. Most of the games on this list are certified bangers. The people just aren't trying them because they're afraid trying new things. They would rather play remakes and sequels
IM LOVING DRAGONS DOGMA II
I love how every quest outside of the Vernworth feels intense. Sure, its a lot to embrace but im never bored especially when you can swap vocations more frequently.

Dragon's Dogma 2 from what I read is like DD 1.5 not even Dark Arisen (the better version) 1.5... because "Dark Arisen wasn't the creator's vision" so they just downgraded 2 because that suits his vision more. The story apparently is garbage. "It's just kinda there, after Act 1." So it's not for me. And I wouldn't put it in a "top 10 games you aren't playing" list. I'll wait for the Dark Arisen version or something.

The Prince of Persia game is definitely fun but it felt like a indy game tho... It should of been a bigger and better game on the level of God of War
Why do you use indie game as an insult? The Lost Crown is a huge metroidvania with a complex combat system and a seriously impressive map. The animations, boss battles, powers and platforming are top-notch and it's abundantly clear that it has serious talent and heart behind it.
Top down games and side scrollers. Both would look great on a mega drive but come on, we want games for the PS5 that utilise the ps5.

prince of persia is a metroid/vania -- a genre i dont really like but the game before and after are on my list ... as for dragons dogma -- i dont like capcom as a company so i dont play their games -- lorelei i might check out but i rage quit puzzle games when they get too hard to solve ... and poker/rogue-like?? meh i dont really like card games or games with card based gameplay enough to care to play bellatro .... and i dont play strategy games because they arent fun ... as for no mans sky i own it and have played it so your list lies as i have at least played 1 game on it and have 2 of them on my playlist
