In this Punjab India travel vlog, I make it to Amritsar! I stayed at a great hostel in Amritsar which I did both the food tour from this video as well as the Wagah border tour with them and definitely recommend both: www.booking.com/hotel/in/nati...
I started my first day in Amritsar by heading to the Golden Temple with two friends I made at the hostel the night before. We arrived at the temple, checked in our shoes, washed our hands and feet, and got head coverings. We then headed in to see the gorgeous temple! We didn't think we'd have time to go inside the inner part of the temple as the line is often really long, but we ended up making it inside - definitely worth it!!
After seeing the inside of the temple, we made our way over to Langar Hall which is the world's largest free community kitchen! They free anyone and everyone, 24/7 completely for free! It's also run by volunteers. Anyone can join in and help them make food, do the dishes, etc. It was amazing to see! We joined in to try the meal and then tour the kitchen area.
After the Golden Temple, I went to join some other hostel friends on an Amritsar Food Tour! We stopped at 6 different places for food and got to try
Bhalla Papdi, Paneer Bhurji, Gajar Halva, and my first Amritsar Lassi. We then took an auto away from the Golden Temple so we could try some meat dishes. First we went to the Beera Chicken House for their famous seasoned chicken and goat mutton. Next we went to Makhan Restaurant to try the most amazing Amritsari fried fish! It was soo good!! After that we went to the award winning Charming Chicken for some Butter Chicken. It was so much fun to be able to try all the food with everyone from the hostel as I am NOT a foodie at all 😅 but Amritsar is a foodie heaven so I'm happy I tried! After the food tour ended I went back to the Golden Temple again to see it at night. It looked amazing with the lights on and the reflection in the water!

Hi , loved your vlog ❤. Just wanted to provide some additional information about Golden Temple , you know it has 4 main doors so that any human being irrespective of caste , colour , religion , social status can come and visit basically it symbolizes equality. Same goes with sitting on the ground and eating in the langar hall . One more thing , you might have observed that while entering the main premises of golden temple you have to get down the stairs it symbolises that one must be humble and lose the ego to reach god.
I love reading all these comments and learning.
I love that Sikhs are so accepting of everyone 😍
All these pieces that you mentioned are merely becoming symbols day by day as Sikhism is terribly plagued by racism at the moment. Yes, what you mentioned was the original meaning behind the 4 doors and Langar. However, a lot of the sikhs are blinded by religion currently and fail to look at humanity which goes beyond caste, colour, religion, social status etc. No offense meant. Thanks
Brillant vlog, you captured the essence of the province, and as a white lady, you showed respect covering up. I love all nations. Blessed are the people who helped to donate, time, love, money and food. Hindus and Sikh's lovely people. Natalie you are genuine, wholesome and loveable. Fantastic Vlog 🩷🌟👍🩷🌟
Aww thank you, Alan 🥰🥰🥰

Wonderful you saw another part of my country. Someday you should visit north east and south of india. National parks like kaziranga, ranthambor, corbett. As i commented earlier it takes a lifetime to explore india
It does take so long to see all of India!!!! I was there for 3 months and my list of places I want to visit is still so long!! I did make it to some places down south, but I really want to go to the northeast and I haven’t been to any of those national parks! 😱❤️
Good you showed main places of Amritsar.
Thanks for watching 🥰
Golden temple is the most visited place in the whole world 🌎🙏 the home of god 🙏🕊️ #punjab #food #blessing #travel #beautiful #place
😱 I didn’t know that!
i m glad u made it to main temple and go through long queue process , where most of the youtubers nvr do that , they just captured the outside (just for views) . welcome to punjab .
I travel because I actually like traveling more than just doing it for CZcams views 🙈 actually quite a few places in India I didn’t make videos because I was just hanging out with hostel friends and not vlogging. Like Mumbai and Goa I didn’t film anything 🤷♀️ but I should have some more India videos edited soon ❤️
Thank u so much for visiting my home town. Glad u liked it❤️

A beautiful and interesting city, nice to meet you from Indonesia ❤
Aww thanks for watching still 🥰🥰
few year back i found out that westerners do not like carrots that much it thought it a little weird but then that i came to know that they carrots that you guys have over there are bitter in taste but here in India or specially in Punjab we have Red carrots and they are very sweet in taste. You can eat them raw. I do this all the time they are very tasty even though i am very picky when it come to eat veggies.
Ahh so vegetables are probably my favorite food 🙈😅😅 I eat raw carrots, celery, spinach alllllll the time! But I was surprised by the carrots in India because I’m used to orange carrots, not red!
@@NataliesPassport Also, we have best Mangos. We consider mangos as king of all fruits. India have 1500+ varieties of Mangoes. You should definitely try Indian Mangoes they are very-very sweet.
Hey Natalie , Its good to see you are enjoying in INDIA , i want to clear one thing that Ladies can take holy bath at Golden temple pool too , in a covered private area for LADIES

Its not Golden temple its Darbar sahib, Harmandir sahib. Its not only world largest free kitchen, every marble you put step on in Darbar sahib has a head of a sikh under it, who sacrificed his life while protecting Darbar sahib.

The carrot thing you ate , in punjabi we call it Gajjar Da Halwa(Carrot's Halwa) or Gajjarpaa. It is made using gratted carrots, condensed milk, sugar and some dry fruits.
Usually I don’t like desserts much so I was surprised by how much I liked that one! 😍

@@NataliesPassport ♥️♥️♥️✌️
Thanks for the video! Well and you say women go there where they're hidden hehehe, but at the same time you can also take into consideration that perhaps women and teenagers might also want and like their privacy. Honestly, i'd love that, even as a man, because it can give me more of a "me and private feeling" rather than just a communal bath with thousands of people around.
PS: Most Indian women within (Hindus, Sikhs, Jains) are not as shackled or emotionally bound as westerners might think they are because of how they might appear to be, its just still a simpler-household focused sort a lifestyle community still instead of a very individualistic approach to society. Muslim community definitely has a lot more shackling them so to say.
I definitely understand that too! I wouldn’t want to take a bath in front of a ton of people 🙈 so I guess it’s a win win! Lol. I was just surprised because when I first got there I thought the women just weren’t allowed to bathe in the holy water. So it was nice to see they had their own area! ❤️
You must visit Sikkim, wherever you go, you will feel as if you have come to visit China.
I want to visit there! 😍😍
Its atari border....
Hey , Natalie must visit Andaman Nicobar
I would love to! 😍
😭😭went back to the Golden Temple after eating meat
Sikhism is a religion in which the people mostly follow a vegetarian diet and avoid going to the temple right after consuming meat or such 😅
U probably didn’t know but I hope you keep that in mind if visiting another Sikh temple

Hi if you can meet me i live near dharamshala mcleodganj
I love McLeod Ganj! I was there in February - I have a video of my trip 🥰
First time i visit at your CZcams channel good efforts and presentation. My question is that because you travelled most of the places in the world i think. does every human behaviour is same or not ? According to you what is the core of every human behaviour ? I want to know your experience about human tendency. And thanks for visit Amritsar Punjab
I think in terms of behavior both yes and no. Some things are universal in many people, but there are also lots of cultural differences that vary between countries. In general I think most people everywhere in the world will try to help a foreigner as long as they're respectful!
Thanks for your view of point. Every human is different from another human but core is same humanity that' spirit sustain the world. Thanks for visit our punjab we hope kept good memories. Thanks.@@NataliesPassport
Ma'am one and last thing I want to asking my intention is not irritate to you I want to just check only human behaviour well question when your camera is on your behaviour is original as ts as you have ? Or you try to put fake happiness or trying to make happy others my purpose not hurt your feelings. I hope I want to understand something because you are from other region i acppect some truth. Human are suffering every or not ? Sorry I disturbed you my last question i hope ma'am you give me answer. Thanks.@@NataliesPassport

So cool seeing you in Amritsar, you should visit Jamshedpur, my city.
Thank you 🥰 this is the first time I’ve heard of Jamshedpur!
Durgiana temple ,Ram tirath bee visit karna chahie
Have You felt uncomfortable from selfie takers?
No, I didn’t have any bad experiences! It also doesn’t only happen in India - I took a lot of pictures in Indonesia, Egypt, Turkey. The only time I said no to selfies was when I was alone on the beach in Kerala & Goa 🤦♀️ no bikini selfies!!!
While in Shimla you shd have gone ahead to kalpa / sangla . Probably the coolest and prettiest area in the Himalaya’s . Instead you chose to do the beaten down tourist circuit . Do try if you can .
The ‘beaten down tourist circuit’ 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️😑 I wasn’t prepared for how cold Himachal was so I wanted to get down south to the heat 🤷♀️
There is no pilgrimage requirement for Sikhs.
Good to know! 🥰
Hey dear after eating non veg should not go to any Gurdwara or temple you can go one day after and before going to Gurdwara and temple should take bath i think you didnt know that so i explain u
You’re correct - I really knew nothing about Sikhism before going here. Thanks for letting me know in a nice way, as opposed to some other people!! ❤️❤️❤️
Photography is not allowed so that we don't take too much time and everyone gets chance to go inside. Also, it is a religious place people come there to do prayer so we should not disturb anyone while doing their prayer. Also sometime people make some inappropriate videos like dancing reels which are not acceptable. Yesterday a lady from Gujrat came all the way to Darbar Sahib(Golden Temple) on Yoga Day and capture some photographs in the Darbar Sahib Outer Complex in some Weird yoga poses which hurt our religious sentiments. Yoga is not part of our religion. We are warriors we do Gatka(Sikh Martial art) we don't do yoga. We believe that she did all this with a complete planning. Also when we searched background that female she had pictures with kangna ranaut who always post hate speeches against sikhs. That's is why they sometime don't allow to shoot video even outside.
Utterly rubbish
And you people giving her rape and death threats just because she did yoga there? That's not what Sikhism is. Our Gurus real Sikh Gurus used to do Yogas way before these new so called fake Sikhs who don't want to know their own history.
😱 oh wow. Thanks for letting me know!
Pls avoid to go Golden temple after eating non veg ❤
I didn’t know that before I was there 🙈
Should nt eat chicken and then go to temple
Its prohibited
sikh temple duh
😱 I had no idea!
@@NataliesPassport yeah i thought so
One more thing
It is believed that if u come to golden temple once
U will atleast come once more in this life or other
This could also mean u visited here already in some incarnation
What nonsense. No such prohibition in Sikhism.
@@NataliesPassport There is no such nonsense in Sikhism. Also, please note people trying to misguide you and to defame Punjab. They try this with all Foreign Tourists on social media. These people have trouble accepting that Sikhism considers all humans as equal. People of all religions, races, castes etc. are welcome in all Sikh Gurudwaras(Sikh place of worship, lit. Gurus Door), even the Sikh Holiest shrine The Darbar Sahib(The Golden Temple). Similarly, Sikh Langar feeds all irrespective of religion, caste etc.
So, please base your views on your own experience.
Dont go in Himachal pardesh sister because of Himachal people attack on another religion people please safe avoid Himachal its not safe for another religion people 🙏
She already visited Himachal and enjoyed it...😂 Now piss off.
I felt Himachal was one of the safest places I went during my 3 months in India! 😱

You came amritsar sahib after you eat non veg its not good
I’ve heard both sides of this 🤷♀️
Makr sure u dont offend the sikh community 😂😂they get offended very easily
I don’t think I did anything offensive 🤔🤞
@@NataliesPassport
I am a sikh and i dont get offended easily just wanted to make some things clear after seeing all the new comments
Taking offence is based on persons nature and personality not on their relegion first of all
Second recently a influencer from gujrat came to shri harmandir shabib ( golden temple) and posted pics of herself doing yoga due to which the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee ( committee which is responsible for management of gurudwaras all around india)
Filed a case against the girl who is hindu because of which some people are angry as to why yoga was not allowed while namaz was allowed in gurudwara
Namaz is a form of prayer while yoga is not and the influencer did it for the followers
You can see in most of gurudwaras in punjab sometimes namaz is held together with paath( which is sikh prayer) because it shows peaceful relations which both religious communities.
Hope you had a great time visiting punjab and harmandir shabib and wish you all the best for your future journeys
The people there can be annoying at times, be careful. Lots of crime in Punjab as well.
lots of crime? could not be worse than any other state as Punjab is second safest state after Gujarat according to national crime bureau data
Modi's IT Cell spreading hatred. You'll fail in your propaganda.
Really 😱 most of the people I met were really nice!

Unfortunately Punjab today is taken over by Drug mafia rampant Drug consumption which has seriously affected our Punjabi brothers specially youth and Drug money along with gun voilence has become common thing in Punjab complemented with Radical Separatist Sikh Khalistani terrorism sponsered by UK and North America has disturbed peace in Punjab. People do not show or not allowed to show the harsh reality of Punjab. What you see is not the real Punjab.
