They're also working on integrating all of the centerbeams and TOFCs into the timetable mode.
Dtg is so damn lazy, they couldn't added a modern ace, like one with cab isolation, more computer scream cab signal, I mean at least it has an e-bell, but we could easily get some more sounds, another k5lla at least
SD70ACe T4 units don't use a 710, they use a 12 cylinder four stroke called the 1010. 710 are two stroke so they sound very different. Not that it matters cause we are never getting a t4 unit in TSW because it would require DTG to implement PTC.
@@SouthernPacificPatch they usually fall back on an excuse that the routs and subsequent locomotives are from 2018 which is before implementation of pct had really begun. Most t4 units were delivered after that.
You missed arguably the most obnoxious thing about this. After literally every other American locomotive in the game failed to implement dynamic braking from DPUs right, the GEVO on Cajon Pass finally did. For whatever reason they did not carry over that function on this, and it's kind of important to controlling 100 car trains on some of those grades. There's a reason Cajon has had it's fair share of high profile wrecks IRL.
I think the reason you thought the UP SD70 sounded better was because you had a sound mod on it in TSW2 which it seems you didn’t put back in to this one which I would recommend doing (they are compatible) there is now a sound mod for this loco as well which I’m guessing is the UP soundmod just ported over
Yeah I'm more than positive those flatcars are European, something DTG could've done for those centerbeams is at least put for the decals BNSF and BN. (That's how it would be irl more than positive) Ig it's okay but they can always improve
BN never had those centerbeams, but BNSF definitely has a ton of those brown ones. The green and blue ones are definitely a bit more rare nowadays, mostly belonging to more obscure shippers and lessors.
Actually no thunder cabs are not banned by law. They are banned by bnsf from leading and them only. UP Kcs, MRL, and some class 2s all own aces without isolated cabs. Less than 200 bnsf aces are thunder cabs.
I feel like DTG is using their "We don't have the correct references" crap excuse way too much these days. From my understanding from the stream today, that is the reason Matt stated they didn't add the ISO cab for this loco. But yet they had references for the headlight positions and the e-bell? Not to mention the TOFC flat cars are recycled from HSC (They do appear on 1 service in TT mode for HSC, but I forgot which one) But either way these have all been low effort shovelware products from DTG for TSW, and sadly the average user probably wont care cause CONTENT!!! SMH....
Making an iso cab would have required a rebuilt of the whole locomotive. There's interior and exterior changes. At that point, it would have been priced as a regular loco bundle rather than the cheaper price it is being sold at

Whelp as to no surprise at all another rushed out reskinned in what’s called a “LOCO PACK” where you would think they would add new locomotives but no they do minimum effort to resell you locomotives we’ve already bought for the 3rd time now cause apparently giving them thousands of dollars isn’t good enough more money less effort.
In the scenario photo's, and timetable photo's, the thing still has red UP numbers! It even has a high headlight. They literally just repainted the Sherman Hill ACE.
Good review overall, waiting for a heavy discount on this one. Just one little correction on 25:30, they didn't changed the physics. They only changed the initial state of the consist, so it has the brake pipe already almost fully charge. Which is more prototypical, as a train that is stopped on mainline just for a crew change will not have the brake system empty. Previously the brake system was empty, and you had to fully charge the whole train, which was, to put it kindly, stupid. The physics stayed the same, if you dump your brake pipe via emergency brake, you'll wait a looooong time (10+ minutes) until the brake pipe is up on the rear of the train. Even when you try to move in your vid, the rear is still at sub 80psi, so if you require air brakes in the next 10 minutes, you might have a baaad time.
Looking at the image in game looks like DTG forgot to change the font from UP to BNSF also looking at the sound mod that just got released the number boards clearly read 1234 for profile shot in game
There’s zero excuse cajon still hasn’t fixed the day one es44 blue engines that are supposed to UP but are only blue with the UP logo on the nose, and the fact UP sd70aCes appear yet even if you own both the Cheyenne UP aces and the BNsf aces you can’t use them on each route Vice versa
It make me questioned the so called "Beta Testers". Did they do anything correct all this time? Clearly they didn't do the research especially for the BNSF SD70ACe. Yes i know it's a cheap addition but come one, it's 21st century and I'm pretty sure all road going US Class 1 Locomotives rosters pictures and photographs and yet they still manage to get the damn thing wrong.
Dovetail of course slowed down the E bell, never changed the horn, it’s still glitched out to lower pitch, and never changed the idle sound. Lazy Dovetail if you ask me. Which of course is what they’ve done to all the USA locomotives.

The K5LLA. The K indicates the series, the 5 indicates the amount of bells, or chimes, the L indicates the low mount manifold, the Other L indicates the addition of the 1L bell, and the A indicates American tuning.
Heck no I am not buying a 3rd SD70 for TSW. Yes it is only 5 dollars but It is annoying that they didn't make the iso cab variant or even a new locomotive like a D-9 or an ET44C4 or maybe an SD70M to add something brand new. BUT NO HERE AT DTG WE REUSE THE SAME MODEL AND ADD A COUPLE OF VENTS. Don't buy this, Save up to buy Sherman hill because at least with that one you get a new route with it.
Looking at getting the SD70 and Class 37 at a later cheaper date. But it looks like nothing has really changed with American content being half assed today as it was back in TSC.
I’ll fix everything to The way it should be. If they won’t fix it, I’ll fix it. Correct Horn, correct 16 cylinder sound, iso-cab leaders, Everything will be perfect.
They really need to fix the sounds for the American Diesels specifically the gevos. When those babies go by you hear and feel the power of those locomotives.
Just get a SD70 ACE from a creator in BNSF paint, and bingo! I have a few from different people that look sweet. Don't buy this crap and download one. This make sure you have Sherman Hill.

Personally I would have liked to have seen a GE Tier 4 GEVO pack come out instead. Both with the square and angled exhausts.

You are correct however looking at the ES44C4 3250-3299 they are the 2020 builds making them PTC equipped not the older 5700s ES44C4

BNSF doesn't allow Thundercabs to lead but UP lets them lead all the time...

You got bells 1L, 1, 2, 3a, and 4a. The 1L plays a C, the 1 plays D#, the 2 plays an F#, the 3a plays G#, and the 4a plays a B.
