    Bucker & Funk, BF 139 Clubmann Classic, BF 133 Jungmeister, and BF 131 B Jungmann, Aero Expo Friedrichshafen, Germany.
    Although not active since 1945, the Bücker aircraft construction is still in sync with German aircraft construction for many pilots in the world today . For its part, the name "radio" has also been a fixture in the field of innovative light aircraft designs since the early 1960s in Germany and Europe . With the merger of the brands Bücker & Funk (B & F) we are pursuing the goal of updating classic German aviation technology with innovative approaches! In 2013, we acquired the trademark and product rights for this purpose.
    The result is extraordinary aircraft and technologies that will continue to make pilots around the world dream ... With the FK constructions "FK12 Comet" and "FK14 Le Mans" we have already created classic designs in new technology. The connection to Bücker was created by the light aircraft retro-project "FK131 Jungmann".
    On the one hand, our activities are geared towards the classic as well as the extraordinary aircraft. On the other hand, the well-known FK aircraft types FK9, FK12 and FK14 Polaris are further developed and technically maintained by us.
    The German company B&F Technik Vertriebs GmbH "FK-Leichtflugzeuge" is active in the field of civil aviation. The main activity is the design, development, certification as well as exclusive after sales support of the motor-driven lightweight FK aircraft series. Production and distribution of the FK9, FK12 and FK14 line is license subcontracted to our polish partner company "FK-Lightplanes", from where the aircrafts are delivered to the local FK aircraft sales partners.
    The manufacturing of the FK131 Jungmann light aircraft line is made in cooperation with the Czech retro aircraft company Podesva Air. . As the production of sport aircrafts is carried out in relatively small series and the products are therefore nearly 100% hand-made, this division of labor is exemplary for the sport aircraft sector.The FK aircrafts and products are sold in over 23 countries worldwide. The export figures outside Europe for the past three years showed a continuous growth.
    B&F was founded in 1990 by Peter Funk and a student colleague, Dirk Breitkreutz. Headquarter at this time was in Hofheim / Taunus. Both partners were students until 1995, so that in the first three years only small numbers of planes went into production.
    In 1995 the headquarters were moved to Speyer. At first, the Fk 9 plane -developed by Otto und Peter Funk -was produced and sold. In the meantime, this plane has become one of the most popular light aircraft in Europe.
    Since 1997, another model, the Fk 12, went into serial production and in 1999, the low wing Fk14 was added.Since that FK has became one of the most important players in the German and European Light aircraft market. Continuous update and innovative product developments are keeping the FK products in the top ranking of Europe's light aircraft registration statistics for more than 20 years now.

    Absolutely beautiful classic aircraft. What a joy they must be to fly.

    G'day,
    Yay Team !
    Now, somebody in Britain (or probably New Zealand, where it's lawful to homebuild anything - even a Boeing 747 - as long as it's made of Wood ) should probably do this with an Avro 504-k ; and perhaps someone in France could cobble up a remanufactured 110 Hp Gnome Monosoupape to make it sound, smell, and handle correctly (!) ?
    One point though, the bulk of German Pilots during the late 1930s & early 1940s may well have spent time as Student Pilots, or Cadets, flying in Bucker Jungmanns ; but they were in the Jungmanns to learn Engine-Management, rather than having their first flights or learning to fly Ab-Initio, because most of the Luftwaffe's Pilots learned to fly Gliders & Sailplanes in the Hitler Jugend as teenagers.
    I have a pet theory that Ab-Initio Training on Gliders/Sailplanes produces Pilots who learn to Fly The WING (rather than managing the Engine), so that later on if/when confronted by an Engine-Failure they instantly revert to what for them is "Normal Flight", and glide down to wherever they had already selected as a place they could safely glide to if required - before the Engine failed, because that's how Gliders teach people to fly.
    The ultimate "Datapoints" to support my Theory are ;
    1). Johnnie Johnson, top-scoring British Commonwealth Fighter "Ace" of WW-2, made 40 confirmed Aerial "Kills" ; he learned to fly in Powered Aeroplanes....
    2). Richard I. Bong, top-scoring US Fighter "Ace" of WW-2, made 40 confirmed Aerial "Kills" ; he learned to fly in Powered Aeroplanes...
    3). Erich Hartmann, top-scoring German Fighter "Ace" of WW-2, made 352 confirmed Aerial "Kills" ; he learned to fly in Gliders.
    4) Gerhard Barkhorn..., another German Glider-trained pilot in WW-2 ; 301 confirmed Aerial "Kills".
    5) Gunther Rall..., German, WW-2, Glider-trained ; 275 confirmed "Kills"...
    6) Johnnie Johnson crashed while Ground-Strafing & finished his War in a POW Camp, Richard I. Bong didn't survive the War - he crashed & died when his Engine failed in an early Jet...; all three of the abovenamed Germans lived through their Wars...
    So, if we crunch those Numbers...;
    {(352 + 301 + 275 = 928), divided by 3 equals 309.3}...., while {(40 + 40 = 80), divided by 2 equals 40}...; and 309.3 divided by 40 equals 7.73....
    On that Evidence, the very best Glider-trained Pilots emerge from their Curriculum to be 773% more effective at realtime management of "Critical Flight-Manouvres & Situations" (wheather Weather, Airframe, Engine, or Enemy generated...) than are the very best Powered Aeroplane-trained Pilots...; and, presumably, the average Glider-trained Pilot will in a like manner be 7 & 3/4 times better Flyers - than the average Students who try to learn to fly while being mesmerised by the rituals of Engine-Management....(?).
    Which is why I advocate for it to be made very strongly illegal to offer Powered Flight-Training to anybody who doesn't already have their FAI Gliding Certificates, "A", "B" & "C" ; an action which would presumably cut the existing rate of "Stall-Spin/Crash-Burn & Die" type incidents by a factor of almost 8...; because the resulting Glider-Trained Pilots will be 7.73 times better at squeezing the best possible performance from their Aeroplane while remaining within the absolute limits of it's Performance Envelope, than the Power-Trained Aviators are statistically able to achieve - thus eliminating something like 85% of the most common source of Light-Aircraft Crashes....(?).
    As I said, it's a Pet Theory of mine...
    Take it easy,
    ;-p
    Ciao !
