The bandits a classic look I love it but No. The individuality of this TA with the orangish affects on the side is beautiful! Besides there's enough bandit ta's out there.

@Ben Dover - Actually, we’re both wrong. The car in the movie was actually a 1976, with a 1977 nose. The 77’s weren’t out yet, so they used 76’ cars. I didn’t know 76’ model cars had T-Tops, but they had a real limited 50th anniversary model in 76’ with them( less than 3,000 I think, but I’m not positive on that, it’s been years since I found that out).

$17,900... I think she'll be gone quick. Looks like a fun ride and a nice project car -- and with a T-Top?! -- she gone for sure. At one time, this was a dream car for me; it started with 'Smoky and the Bandit'. Never got one, but always loved the car.

Great price for a 78 Firebird! Wow is the underside of this car in great shape. She's a real beauty and won't be on the lot for very long.
Good looking T/A, getting harder to find one that is straight, no rust and runs decent, really like the old school graphics on the sides, tape off the side graphics, take some time and block the car, seal and repaint, takes some time but it can be done and reclear the graphics, be a badass car
Damn! I knew I should have held on to that 20k I just had. I paid $450 yes four hundred fifty for a 77 in 1993. Drove it everywhere. Just bought a 91 Camaro under 30k miles. Love all gen Firebirds. My favorite of all time. This one won't last.

These are some of the best driving TA's, it's got the 400 so it's not a dog, I'd put some wheels on it more fitting for the TA, you could have the rainbow stripe painted over and blended into the black, through a screaming chicken on the hood or just go with the Darth Vader look, underneath looks really solid, should sale quick.👍

Ok. You sold it. I'll take it. Paint chips do not bother me. But the gas gauge and Speedo along with the compressor not working are all problems. The car has to drive all the way to Chicago.. But over all its nice.

Cool car. How about showing the condition of the wheels? It’s amazing that most of these cars don’t seem to have any paperwork with them. That would also help establish the car’s condition.

Are the stripes on bottom/sides of car decals or paint? They’re a little much. Takes away from the car. Needs the Trans Am logo on rear spoiler and the hood logo also. I’m sure it sold quickly.

The engine will need to be changed to make it a bandit clone.
To make it a true "bandit clone" you'll need a 76 (actual bandit car) and then spend at least 12k to 15k on paint and stripe work not to mention engine, wheels and tires and everything else. By the time your done cloning you could buy a real one...

Not a bad price for a TA with the #matching 400 with a 4 speed (avoid the Olds 403 on these, they are a dog). Spend some money getting it repainted and rebadged correctly, get rid of that ugly ass decal on the side that looks like it belongs on a peddle car for a child. Not sure what the previous owner was smoking when he made that decision on that paint/decal job.
I give you 8 thousand dollars for it...
