Debatable, Bill Russell is top 3 for sure. 11x Rings, 5x MVP, and many probability Finals MVP. Whoever put Bill Russell outside of top 5 are just casual
People often put a lot of weight on championships to determine who the GOAT is but the fact that there's no Wilt Chamberlain on this list should prove it's not the best measure of greatness. In my opinion it doesn't even matter when you factor in the owners, the GMs, the coaches, the help and role players everyone had. Not to mention how many teams were even in the NBA when these rings were won. Sometimes the city and organization help attract free agents/success. Injuries also change a team or two's destiny every season. It's just another stat to me but good post.
The beginning of this list is completely irrelevant just saying. Boston had the best team that could go out and beat the other guys who had a team full of plumbers.. good for them. Look up their stats during those championship seasons. It would never translate to actual NBA basketball...
And elite solders of spartan army would get decked by the worst modern military. Everyone is a product of their time and therefore should be compared to the people of their own period in history. The celtic players weren’t dropped from the future, they had the same basis as the “plumbers” like Jerry West and Wilt Chamberlain who they competed against and they won deserving those wins. If modern player like Giannis was sent to the 60s with a time machine he would average 50 but he couldn’t exist back then because the game and equipment hadn’t developed yet to that point. ”The actual nba” would not be without those guys
Why does Tommy Heinsohn look just like Larry Bird?😅
Bill Russel is the REAL 🐐
LMFAO. You don't know basketball then.

@@MakeKrylonGreatAgain Whatever son, you don't know basketball. Wilt was much much better than Russell, it wasn't even close.
Nobody thinks Bill Russell's rings equal MJ's, Timmy's, or Kobe's.. there's a reason nobody in the beginning of this list is in the goat conversation
Their rings are heavily discounted and rightfully so. Russell had 2 series to win a ring. And he was also very mid on offense.
If you just look at the modern era nba (take out the teams from the pre nba/aba merger), robert horry is number 1 on that list with 7.
Doesn’t Steve Kerr technically have more rings cuz he coached warriors dynasty
