If the resister is in series it's to protect the led itself from consuming too much power, overheating and failing prematurely

Does the G wagon really need any more bling? I think the G wagon must have defined that word in the beginning.
I installed the same tail lights on my 2015 G550, but I got that error message, and the tail light blinks 3 times, then shut off. Do you think it's that resistor you talked about that needs to be disconnected?
Maybe one of mine was wired wrong also
I have a 2005 and I'm getting 4 error codes for the lights. It's very annoying
I disconnected the resistor and no more error messages. Do the same.
@@johnknoxville4304 I have the led mirrors as well, and getting the errors for those. Any idea? I bought the resistors but not sure what wires to connect to
I changed the old lights on the side mirrors too. But you have to disconnect the wire that goes to the resistor. When you do so, you should not get the error. Thats what i did, i disconnected the resistor on all the lights that i bought.
the knockoff taillights + LED side lights are a no for me
