She's incredibly useful. She's good with Quick and Buster Servants but is definitely a God tier for Arts Servants. I've been using her with Mash and Himiko to.. varying effects but still a fun way to play
Castoria and Himiko is an amazing combo I’ve been using since I got her. Throw in Muramasa, or some other crit based servant, for some decent results.

For the last lotto's third 90++ node I needed a Castoria NP in order to do enough damage to the pharaohs, and I didn't want to risk getting a support Castoria that didn't have the battery append maxed. So instead I let the friend support be Oberon while bringing my own Castoria along, ha. Having a Castoria yourself lets you do stuff like that.
I find that Arts is by far the most flexible card type in both farming and hard content in regards to what DPS you can bring.
you needed divine damage and Nero bride as a support would have given it to you or as a DPS Tezcatlipoca gave a lot that apart from that he would have facilitated everything in a monstrous way
You shouldnt have a problem finding a maxed Castoria w/append to follow/friend which negates this logic tho
@@Fearienify I had friends with maxed appends on her, but I decided I'd rather not have to check whether the Castoria I want to bring has it maxed every time I ran the node. I don't need any appends on Oberon, so it's less effort to just pick him instead.
Im so grateful i got her in anni with that free sq. She is THE best support for arts and generals.
Castoria is A MUST. Challenge quest even with her feels so hard these days, imagine not having her. Unless you are a whale with NP5 Junao, koyan, merlin and oberon or sumn.

@@cuppu4525 They have different roles though, Tamamo compliments Castoria, as she provides things Castoria doesn’t. Those being heals, cool down reduction on skills, and NP damage.
Having some kind of sustain is an especially big boon. Because as good as Castoria’s solemn defense is, you’re prone to getting chipped out as it’s only 1 hit without overcharge. And Castoria herself doesn’t have any sustain in the way of heals, so Castoria + Tamamo and your arts dps is ideal for difficult content.
Never skipped Castoria, but I'll watch this anyway since I'm NOT looking forward to cranking out Memelin, Castoria, & Morgan for the unyielding team, which would also yield an unrivaled amount of lovers' quarrels after the CQ is done.
if you get your own Castoria, you can enable a support Summer Ibuki which from my experience is way better for farming than rolling Koyan, Oberon, and high NP levels on whatever buster farmer
Don't need an overgrown snake when you have Morgan at NP5 and 120, she can easily handle both farming and CQs by herself lol. Also she's coming in 2024, who are you going to use while waiting
I rolled and NP3 Summer Ibuki for waifu. She became the main farmer in 90% of events, including some of the weird 90++ nodes with less than 3 enemies per wave

Castoria is the only of the good support servants I was able to roll so I just use her in all of my teams and she never let me down. I'm surprised you didn't mention that her NP can also carry you through some of the toughest bossfights since it allows you to face tank an ignore invincible enemy NP. Also the absolute insanity that Castoria + Muramasa in lancer nodes
He did but he went for the farming because most people doesn't care about challenge quest and only farm the game

As someone who does not currently have a Castoria and who constantly sees guides for challenge quests that boil down to some variant of "double Castoria," I'm working very hard to save for her next banner
Phenomenal video and delivered at an amazing time.
People for whatever reason think Oberon instantly makes their single core NP1 damage dealer capable of blowing through every 90++ node and that's simply just not the case.
Castoria is incredibly powerful and versatile in these 90++ environments when running multicore teams that can deal with these stages more effectively and reliably.
Thank you to spreading the word , about castoria in 90++ , and specially about multicore farming , i dont see a lot of people doing videos about this last topic , from now on not only you need to think about rolling meta supports, now you need to think about multicore damage dealers like tez , but that is a problem for future me :p .
Before watching : she's the most f2p support in the game. With other support you need NP2 servants, MLB kscope, and much more, while with castoria you MIGHT want to have black grail but it's not necessary

@IDGAF About Your Waifu maybe the 0.09% of pulling her? Like, outside of EN foresight, it is ridiculously unlikely you pulled her on the first banner. And when we consider they don't announce banners until about 2 weeks before they drop, you'd have most likely no way to get her on the rerun either.
Meaning, you'd have to fuckin pay to get her. To this fuckin day, Paracelsus is still the best f2p arts support in the game and George is still the best overall f2p support in the game cause they don't require using any Quartz.

@@casteanpreswyn7528 you can 6-slot with castoria from the sup list and Xu FU/Waver (from free SSR ticket) + a looper( habetrot, Iyo and gong are some free top tier examples.) And no/free CEs.
She is the best f2p support because you don't even need to have her.
Only troublesome thing is needing 2004 MC, just burn a bad 4* servant for RP it will be more useful.
She is simply great you level her skills, you borrow another one from your friends list and boom 80% of aoe arts units just work, buster and quick are good too but the ease of access Castoria has is unmatched and if you do have other supports the system only improves, the other systems are good but I feel have much higher bar of entry.
Another good thin about arts looping is they can loop 4 times in a row which buster teams cannot.
And you don't have to roll for premium buster DPS. Theres plenty of AOE welfares coming up (ranmaru, the vietnam shota, iyo, and summervalks)
Buster and Quick teams have no survivability options.

@@velgard. what I mean by that is Castoria enables 3turning while at the same time can give 2 forms of hard survivability when doing difficult content. Merlin on the other hand doesnt enable any kind of looping just the survivability

Just got her. Was panning on rolling for her on the GSSR because I spent a lot last anni without getting her so I was quite jaded, but I figured this would be better in the long run. I usually get by with running bride instead of her but this was for the best.

If you have to skip someone (considering you like all the meta supports equally). Skip koyanskaya. Yes koyanskaya is better than oberon, but she has another banner in January, skipping Oberon on the other hand, you'll be mothless for a year and a half
Oberon is better than Koyan. He improves Arts and Quick looping and allows his own farming system. Koyan relies on having Oberon or specific CEs in most cases.

this is the first time I heard about multicore but I've done it mostly on 90+ nodes and the free quests of Shinjuku and Agartha, and I'd say you're right about her buffs being AoE matters... I matters a lot
Really helpful advice, sounds like I can completely skip buster and might be better off for it, since I already have castoria and np2 vlad. Not sure what else I need though to complete the comps for farming 90++.... I never did manage to snag that second copy of SpIshtar, np1 kinda hurts

For me, 90++ node is usually not worth it unless it's lottery event since most event have finite material shop so all it really does is gain some extra bond point and make the dead week even longer than normal which is suck because the next year implement 3 weeks event for everything aside from lotto and story chapter. So I decide to only roll her at November next year instead since every other stuff I care about is before that JP banner a few month and after the NA a few month.
If you already cleared the shop you get less bond then farming free quests by doing 90++ because the cost is 40 instead of around 20+ ap.

I got into fate go after the latest catoria banner but i hot lucky and got. Melusine 3 koyan and about 300sq for an oberon. I am waiting to np2 meluko but if she appears again i will definetly go dor her

On my JP, I only have her as my OP support servant. With my current level (lvl110) and roster (6ssr), I can 3 turn the last lotto in 90+ node and opened 100+ boxes. That is to show how can she improve whatever your lineup is. I believe that she is a must summon, either you are a newbie or veteran.

I had 907 SQ for Koyanskaya and Oberon. I needed 600 SQ for first and only Castoria and therefore I will probably not get Oberon and Koyanskaya, without real money😢.
That's objectively false, you got 300 sq right? That would make the likelihood of you getting an ssr very high
@@literalgarbage8014 Oh I see that I did a mistake. I didn´t needed 600 SQ, I needed 690 SQ, so that 217 was left. Until now, I have got enough SQ back (thanks interludes and the first 6 Acts of Heian-Kyo) that I have now 251 SQ.
But in the summoning simulations, I needed for the most times around 210 SQ for one SSR. That means, even with some of the SQ we get for the 6th anniversary, it would still be difficult to get both of them.
Castoria is the MVP of Lostbelt 6 for a reason
I’m f2p with no high NP 5 stars. Castoria + Merlin saves me since none of my servants have the power to one shot high difficulty enemies
I'm trying to convince a friend to pull for Castoria before Koyanskaya since his account still isn't that great. I'm down with the pull for who you want crowd but that's after you get some kind of support to help you.
It doesn't help that he only has Ibuki and Seiba with low skill levels so I think him going for Koya right now will be rough.

Counterpoint. Oberon does not get a rerun in two years, and depending of your pool you might not be able to support castoria (like it's my case). Absolutely agree with cast being nutty, just wanted to add that it's not always the best option, specially for people that haven't played as long as some veterans.

P.S: for those who gonna skip castoria you missing a lot having her + merlin in your line up even her alone was a huge help.

I use her always along himiko and do wonderful things with dantes, nobu, artoria OG, grand lancer, gilgamesh, musashi as Main dps, agree with you, with castoria theres almost no need for other support
I saved up when she first came out and was lucky enough to get her at NP3 then. Got her fairly early in the attempt, too, which is why she's NP3. I decided to go for her at NP2 once I got her initial copy so early, and ended up getting two of her on my last 11-roll for her. So then feeling lucky I rolled the rest of my SQ on the other banner open at the time, and got KP. Good times.
Not so lucky since, I'm afraid. Wasted over 100 SQ failing to get Muramasa back during New Years, and then did it again trying for Best Girl Mordred during her recent rate-up. Then I got two copies of Fairy Gawain rolling for Morgan just this last week. My luck is odd...
I actually got her on 3 multis, might actually still be good for koyan, lets go!

Maybe? Depends on if they keep the current pacing or not. Assuming they drop part 3 about two weeks after part 2, that’s about 15 days on the Oberon banner. And maybe a bit of the overlap with the anniversary? A few days, at best. Jp

I disagree.
As a f2p with only Oberon as big support I have farmed in all 90++ nodes released so far and he was definitively the best choice.
Without meta servants and with a "limited" choice in servants I found myself also farming with Quick/Buster, even if Arts is obviously the best card type for 90++.
As a common example let's say you have no choice but a Quick dps, you will necessarily need a SSkadi + Oberon + another f2p support/ second dps: Castoria instead of SSkadi would not bring enough damage for how difficult these nodes are, you need Oberon + support SSkadi or vice versa.
Or even worst you have Castoria but not the right Arts dps, you will need to take it from friend supports but at that point you are missing Oberon and so the damage required to loop.
You are talking like all the viewers have a dps suitable for the various nodes but this is not necessarily the case, especially with the recurring extra class enemies (Nitocris Alter with her Avenger class and the lack of f2p Moon Cancer was really annoying to manage).
With all due respect to the content you bring I think that for new or quite casual players this take can be a bit deceiving, in fact: no, Castoria can't do everything, she won't make looping possible for you all the time and you still need the right dps and card type pairings.
In conclusion Oberon is always necessary to reach 90++ damage, so why not choose him and not have need to roll on others?
I can't see the point of only having Castoria and getting stuck on a single card type in the 90++ context where you never know which servant might be useful, maybe one you've hardly ever used before.
Honestly even other than that the only time I can remember missing her was on Junao's Super Recollection Quest, where I strictly needed her NP but there was Karna as forced support.

My most reliable CQ setup is Castoria/Castoria/Kingprotea.
Looks weird on paper to have two arts supports and a buster unit, but god _damn_ is it a good comp.
Kingprotea already deals tons of damage alone so her only problem is her atrocious NP gain, which Castoria fixes easily with her awesome batteries, NP gain buff, and Arts buff.
And the extra defense and debuff from having two Castoria NPs lets you fuel that engine for what feels like forever.
You could also use a Tamamo or either Merlin for healing, but you should always have at least one Castoria. She's just that good.
Reines is probably better option, she gives aoe gain and overcharge on her np after buff, so you can easily get 5hit inv with Castorias np every time

Considering that I got her on her very first banner and got her as my 2nd 10+ bond level servant (first was merlin), Castoria really helps with looping NPs and allows non-arts servant to get their np faster. Also her NP is amazing!

Castoria allows me to use Habetrot as a QP farmer. though due to saving 300k+ Friendship points and an additional ~300k from events including Nero fest I was able to gain NP5 Habetrot to make it a breeze.

It doesn't matter how old or young an account is having Castoria will offer so many more options. You can get a ton of mileage out of one Castoria and one out of many Arts AoE Servants for some basic farming.
It might sound like the dumbest thing but it was that thirty team wide battery that made me realize how nutty she was.
Pulled her right before Banner was over, got her on my 8th multi. Im so lucky! Sad I can't use/level her up due to server maintenance

I know this sounds cringe, but before this video i actually was going to skip her since my freshly opened na account has recently taken a turn for buster servant since i got np2 saber ibuki and i also managed to get morgan, so i thought of saving for koyan/oberon, now im kinda tempted to farm and do some rolls on castoria and see if she comes home
1. Her 3T looper includes a 2* Chen Gong (Buster has 3* Cu Caster while Quick has none)
2. Her BG looper includes a welfare (Sieg) while Buster needs premiums like Melusine, Arcueid, or Kukulkan
3. She actually has some stall game instead of the 3T or bust style Buster and Quick are locked into
Notice that Chan Gong requires multiple SSR supports though.
@@marisbury no he doesn't? He can 3T on a 50% CE with just your Castoria and another from support list. If you pitch in Paracelsus, Mozart, and the plugsuit, he can even 3T with BG.

I say this because sometimes I like to bring out random Servants I'd like to use regardless of minturn or not, but I don't know if that's viable in 90++ in both time and AP efficiency
