Patricia died on October 1, 2023 of cancer. She was an angel who came among us only for a short time and already had to return. She left as much here as anyone else in a lifetime. Honor to her memory!

They are amazing! What I find most amazing is that mey might not have actually been having a good time at all, maybe one of them was having their worst day ever, but these great singers are still able to give off the right vibe every single time!
I was never before a fan of opera. But Mozart, and two voices so beautiful as these, could make the mountains weep.

Patricia was a very good person and a wonderful soprano. Her voice and her performances: A gem in the history of opera. For sure, one of the best singers of the last wto centuries. The conductor's kiss and expression said everything: The young Queen of opera. "It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night as a rich jewel in an Ethiop's ear... Beauty too rich for use, for earth too dear!" (ROM & JUL 1.5.45) P.S: According to my faith, Patricia will return one day. I won't be here then, but some day we'll meet again.
I am amazed because of Patricia's powerful and mature voice. I wish she will get well. God bless her.

To me,this is why Patricia has developed so well. She has had good mentors who have nurtured her so well. This piece was just right for a young voice and to have a mentor sing with her and give confidence while she does so. Sublime!

I have listened it many times. Simply, it is a brilliant supervising from Eva. Eva sings in lowered intensity of her voice (to let Patrica to be the lead voice), with very precise rhythm, clear pronunciation, rich color so that her "gifted pupil" can very properly develop. And Patricia returns her "homework" and her teacher only smiles that their school classification doesn't have... "excellent excellent"...

Quand on sait la fin cruelle de Patricia, cette canzonetta prend un caractère tragique.

Red: I have no idea to this day what those two Italian ladies were singing about. Truth is, I don’t want to know. Some things are better left unsaid. I’d like to think they were singing about something so beautiful, it can’t expressed in words, and it makes your heart ache because of it. I tell you, those voices soared higher and farther than anybody in a grey place dares to dream. It was as if some beautiful bird had flapped into our drab little cage and made these walls dissolve away, and for the briefest of moments, every last man in Shawshank felt free.

This version is better than the one played in the movie. "Sullaria" translates to "Spring breeze", and the version in the movie is a bit heavy. This rendition more has the lightness of a spring breeze.
