I always thought that Apple making older phones slower with new updates was a myth. I think that since every new update comes packed with new features and stuff, older devices aren’t capable of handling it correctly because they’re meant for the new iPhone and that’s why older phones get slower with newer updates. It also happens with Samsung and various androids phones, the only difference is that some times the companies won’t give the update to those phones that can’t handle it unlike apple.
