- This video is all about the 1943 Penny. Today we are going to be learning the ins and outs of this coin, including its history and the context in which the coin was minted in, its appeal to collectors, and the various values it may have depending on its condition. We are also going to be covering the 1943 Penny mint errors and varieties - if there is not a section for one of them, that means that there are none known. Hopefully this is a good introduction to this awesome coin, and best of luck finding all of the valuable errors, varieties, and highly-graded coins in addition to learning the sweet history behind it. Always keep an eye out for good coins, whether they are worth tons of money and rare, or just have great eye appeal and a story to them! In the late 90’s I worked graveyard shit at a gas station. I needed penny’s so I pulled out a roll-busted it open and it was a entire roll of 1943’s. I still have them today.🤙

This coin still has a beautiful lustre and in very fine condition.
I believe I should have it graded ASAP to determine its rareity.

I am Loving Bianca and these fun work out .I am 60 years old and an avid Dancer since the age of 5 yrs old . However do to traumatic experiences in my life .I have been letting those experiences take a toll on my health physically and emotionally.
I have been putting off exercise for a least 4 years .I began thinking that I am too out of shape for exercise. Lol

Have u ever seen a 1943 steel that is zink over copper over steel, mint mark s or d,over,s,. Can't tell/ one angle u c a (d) slightly change the angle and u c an (s), straight on u c a blur, any input is greatly appreciated

Hi Christian thanks for all the great knowledge and information. I just started looking through some of my old coins from when I was a kid. I just found a 1943 steel penny it's pretty rusty and hard for me to make out but it looks like it was stuck wrong and it appears Lincoln's face is falling off or it was dubble struck. Buy an inexpensive microscope, the ones that are able to sync to your phone and catalog them.
I had a Budd that I worked with that was hired to clean out an attic. And younger not caring heirs just said "to get rid of the stuff".
He ended up with VOLUMES of baseball cards, and other sports memorabilia. And took detailed pictures and burnt them to a CD (back in the 90's) to catalog all of it.
He did pretty well for several hours of work!!

When you get a coin with no mint mark that means it came from Philadelphia it is not an error coin..

I found a set of the 3 mint mark '43s. I haven't checked for varieties yet, but there is a highly visible strike through on the reverse of the 'S' coin. All 3 are very high mint state.

I have about 4 rolls of 1943 steel cents that I rolled many years ago.
I have searched many thousands of Kennedy Halfs and just came across one that I have never saw. It is brilliant like a proof like coin. It is a 1974. Over the " in God " it has a date 1960. On the opposite side on front over the " We Trust " it has another date of 1980.
It has to be a special coin. I know that it is not a regular Kennedy Half. Can you or any reader tell me something about it please. I have looked for days and can't find it.

They should be, but only when they are in nice condition / you can recoup the fees in the value of the coin.

Huh - I would look at comps on Heritage Auctions and compare the condition. Really an estimate, but maybe around $250? Would have to see it in person.
