For my 25th birthday, some friends and I decided to visit the islands off California's coast in my 30ft monohull. We brought a camera and some GoPros along. Here's the final product.

You guys made me smile with the song, but then I watched the video. My 30th Birthday, everyone forgot (believe it or not its a running theme in my life), and I waited at the Long Beach Catalina Express. No one showed... On my way home in HB, I just kept driving down PCH instead of going to where I lived off of Beach. Tears in my eyes, I found myself at the other Catalina Express location, and jumped on in time. I got there and walked the town. Hit the sushi place hidden for locals, grabbed a bottle of wine, and rented one of those tiny boats that you hand steer... and yes I did screw up leaving, revved it and almost took out a family coming in. I went left and tried to make it around the island, realized I couldn't. So I lit my birthday blunt, popped open the wine, and had my sushi. Ten minutes later, I threw it all up, and it followed my boat. Once I got clear, I looked down, and saw the sun rays dancing. Figured out a way to get back on, walked to the bow, and dove off. OMG it was amazing, and blue. I swam for a while, and then struggled to get back in... Once I did, I went back to the bow and did a backflip. I swam down as far as I could, watching the rays trace the boat, dancing like a UFO descending on me. Then... I kicked something.... and it kicked me back! I freaked and swam to the surface. I had two more birthday dinners that night on the island and then came home. After that day, I have been fearless in knowing what I do from here on out in life, will probably be alone, and Im ok with me. I like me now.

This is the most beautiful music ever. Particularly when spring and summer come back around, this is the sort of music that inspires me to get out of my room - outdoors - and to "live life". Just like last year, I'll take my music, backpack, drinks, bike, bus pass, etc, and just head out. Sometimes, on a beautiful day, I'll get some food and sit by a body of water somewhere to music like this.
This is the kind of music that makes me want to break free from my "limitations", like fatigue, anxiety and depression, and to make the very most of my life; to make memories and enjoy myself. it’s so cool that you sail!! i grew up sailing on boats like that and going down to the tropics and chartering boats. my dad is a fantastic sailor and is pretty famous around my area because of it. when i was little he would get invited to all sorts of races down in the bahamas and the keys and the bvi. i’ve been a sailor all my life and i love your music because it’s just nice music to put on in the background during a relaxing day on the water. thanks for doing what you do!!
