The latest NATO press-conference Biden just had seemed to further highlight his cognitive difficulties as he referred to Zelensky as Putin and Trump as his VP. I think Biden seems like a decent, honourable man, but it's clear he's grown frail and infirm.
I'm not so sure. His state was a tax haven for corpos. He voted for the crime bill and the Iraq war. To me, he feels like the most career orientated kind of career politician. Even so, I feel bad for him. He got exactly what he wanted, and yet he's too old now. It's like that Twilight Zone guy breaking his glasses.
When the wind blew, I saw the outline of his lower leg in his slacks. There is nothing there but wasting muscle.
Though Trump makes exactly the blunders all the time.

Voters have said for the last two years he was too old. He needs to step down. He has been a successful president and needs to step aside. Harris needs to run.
Problem is, is Harris probably has less chance of going up against Trump, would be better for Biden to run and step down shortly into his term if he wins, to let Harris become president.
@@MrBigSeanno I am not American (but believe me I do care!) so I acknowledge you may know more than me but it seems like there are enough no-Trump republicans and hold-out democrats that Harris would win, as long as the Dems take the corpse off the ticket. Better that she wins as president rather than is installed after the fact; that wouldn't bode well for '28.

The cold feet over Harris being the candidate are actually damaging to their future votes.

Even though a day or so out date, this incisive conversation is so useful in setting the scene and context and foreshadows Biden’s verbal gaffes which we are now aware of at the NATO summit. If Biden steps down making way for a younger candidate making it more likely that Trump will fail, has to be the issue.

I love this podcast but your behind on the news story because you release videos too late, so I don’t bother watching it
Job criteria to apply for President. Ability to string more than two sentences together.
I watched the end of the Summit and the presser (which started a whole hour late for unexplained reasons). Apart from referring to President Zelinsky as 'President Putin' and to VP Kamala Harris as 'Vice President Trump', his cognitive performance was acceptable, 'though he looked ancient (despite the hint of a tan, thanks to make-up). Hardly an encouraging performance, I'm afraid.
One key issue is that Harris seems possibly to be even less popular than Biden. Additionally, if another candidate were to be chosen, how would they raise sufficient funds for the key electioneering season, given that Biden's war chest would pass only to Harris (as his VP). Furthermore, if there were to be a brokered convention in Chicago, there's a risk it might degenerate into the chaos last seen (again in 'The Windy City') in 1968.
Tbf if Biden wait till next week droped out on Mondays the news of that and the aftermath would drown the rnc conference
The entire point of the Vice President is to step in for the President.
It's the literal job description.
If Dem leaders argue that Harris isn't suitable to perform that task, they are arguing that Biden made a bad choice.
And if Biden makes bad choices, isn't that a reason for Biden to step aside?

Any talk of too new a candidate or no name recognition doesn’t really apply here. You need name recognition to get traction in the primary’s, this is different.
If it goes full contested convention to pick a new top of the ticket you could see a candidate who would not primary well be a very viable option
If you aren't considered to have name recognition, as VP, that's an indictment of your record.
As a loyal Democrat and patriotic American, I fear that Biden at the top of the ticket could lose us the House, the Senate, and the White House, in addition to the Supreme Court. I fear a Trump Dictatorship.
