Play Hero, same BS as shulk with less downsides, almost as stupid hitboxes, easiest shield breaks you'll ever have, and even frame 6 across the stage projectiles
I still like Shulk and i enjoy watching your matches. There are some reailly bad limitations to the character though that makes no sense. Like why have reduced damage with Speed or Jump? You hit someone several times in Speed only to see you've done next to no damage. And all the downsides to the arts are silly in my opinion. Another problem with Shulk Is that he has several moves that are just not very useful, like D Smash, jab, U air, and even U Smash. D air is also a poor move to protect yourself when in the air and your opponent jumps to attack from beneath you. Most of these can be really nice when they connect but they are so stressful to get right that they are hardly worth using. It's a shame they are no longer releasing updates to balance the characters. Shulk (and my 2nd favourite character, Sephiroth) could do with some buffs. Still love the character though.
very informative thanks for these explanations cause im so used to hearing memes about how shulk cheats from players like muteace and some putting him high on tier list but this has given me more ideas I still main a character that has a losing mu to shulk but it's honestly not that bad just a lot of neutral i need to work on thanks for the vid!
There’s very few match ups where I feel totally helpless playing shulk. I play a bit of mythra, joker, cloud, Byleth, and when all of those inevitably fail for me for whatever reason, shulk comes through. He’s just easier for me
Is this different on Wifi though? Haha Can't react the same online to slow frame data but also them just doing "just hit them" options with fake pressure I'd imagine also gets better against Shulk. You have a great explanation style btw.

That is the most criminally underrated character versus possibly the most negligently overrated character (honorable mention ESAM Pikachu) Cloud can use 7 Bairs in the start up of Shulks Bair so I think we can start getting over the “bad recovery” thing lmao
