So cool to hear a blues tune on banjo. And Mean Mary is the best one to do this! As Garrison Keillor used to say, "When she sings a song, it stays sung!" :-)
Mary your music reminds me of when I was 6 years old and my uncles and my dad used to sit around and front yard playing banjos and guitars and spoons and tambourines and just having a good time just playing music together and I miss those days
Thank you Mary, for this update. Words cannot express the joy that your voice and banjo brings to your loyal fans. Bless you! You are an angel of light in an often dark world.
Great to Hear and see you Mary. I see you decide to go back to your Normal Hair Color, and your looking Great.. Can't wait to get your New Album. Hopefully see you in Tucson, AZ, this year.. Your Fan & Friend, Dave..💯🎼😘

My 2 1/2 year old grand daughter loves seeing you play the banjo barefoot! She wants to learn how to play barefoot banjo like Mary! We love you Mary! Keep playing your heart out dear! God bless you always!
Thanks for brightening up a dull day here in the UK. And love the sign on the wall (my neighbours are listening to great music whether they like it or not).
J'aime votre fraicheur d'esprit, et je vous en remercie beaucoup, je me sens transporté à chaque fois que je vous écoute merci pour tout le bien que vous faisez
This is really perfect marketing!! Congratulations!! You are reaching the world Miss talented Mary in the way you are playing and singing! Keep on - this is so beautiful! You are doing a great job!! And I am sure Deering will love you for this - so do I all the way from Germany.
LOVE to hear a Good Banjo player. My Uncle once played with Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs on stage many years ago. They've all since gone but at family reunions my uncle would bring his Banjo and the whole family would play gospel and bluegrass, which is my all-time favorite music. You put a twist on the Banjo which I find interesting. And I liked this version of "nine pound hammer/Banjo". Thank you for entertaining me, I find it enjoyable.
Great song and video. I've always liked the sound of the banjo for some reason, especially when married to the sound of electric guitars in the Progressive / Rock music vein! The blend adds as certain haunting mystery to the songs that I like... Thanks.
This whole year (well, the start of it at least), I've felt as if something was wrong. I thought it was the pandemic, now I realize it was something much more important. Great to hear from you again, miss Mary. Keep it up!
Mary I saw you and Frank together at a festival here in Indiana back in the early 90’s and have been a fan ever since then. I still have the cassette that I bought from you that day. Still sounding great!
I loved this song the first time l heard you play it,but now you've taken it to a higher level!! Love what you do and can't wait for the next instalment.
Sounds great. Thanks for posting. Hope ya come back to Virginia again this year. Thanks, the crow, chicken, turkey, cow, blue jay, owl, red tailed hawk, bob white, whip o whill caller. 🙂
1:15 (for song playback) The old electrical guitars are pretty heavy too, but those acoustic guitar pickers are wimps. Mary has a great blues voice in this song.
Not everyone can play the blues on a banjo but Mean Mary nails it
Mean Mary can nail anything.. she can probably even nail Jello to the wall 😜 But definitely the blues yes!
Greetings from Ireland 🇮🇪, absolutely superb, thank you 😊
