I am planning on taking the DAT test in August, and I want to go to Midwestern University but I am scared because I have 3.5 GPA and a 3.10 science GPA which is kind of low. Quick question, for the ADEA website I do not have a username and password, how can I set up one? Thank you !!!!!
Hey Eleni! I just rewatched your video since I will be applying in May and I have two questions: 1. You mentioned to get the transcript early, do we need to send an additional transcript to AADAS, so they can verify these grades? I’m a little confused on how they verify this haha. 2. LOR, I think the maximum is 4, can the people who right them send the LOR to me and I upload them to AADAS or must they upload it?
Hello Eleni! I have my application all ready, but I don’t plan to take the DAT because of scheduling conflicts. That means I won’t be able to submit my application until November. Do you think this is still good timing? Or should I wait and apply for fall of 2022 instead of 2021?
@@andreap.miranda7459 HI Andrea! I think that if you are a strong candidate and you have a good GPA, I think you can still go for it! Just keep in mind schools will probably already have their class almost full and it will be even harder to get a spot. But I think if you are confident in your application you can go for it! But if you do wait and apply next year, your chances will be higher in getting in. It also might not be a bad idea to email admissions of the schools you like and ask them what they think. I hope this helps!
Eleni Marie hi eleni! Another question! Is there a way to submit my ADEA common application for only ONE school at a time or when I click submit it will send my application to ALL the schools I selected? I’m a bit confused on this. Thank you again for taking the time to mentor us :)
Hi! this is a great question, I am not sure you can send the LOR in early. Once the application does open, you will send your professors a email request through the application website where the professor can then put in your LOR. I hope that helps!
@@elenigoestodentalschool Thanks! What should the LORs have, besides the colleges' info in the header and the professors' signature? Any specific points they should include? And, when you're shadowing, should you get a permission form from the college to hand over to the professional?
@@ghostlyyoukai I believe most professors will write how they know you, what kind of student you are, why they think you would be a good dental student candidate, etc in the LOR. (They will know what to write most likely). and for the shadowing its all self-reporting. So you have to call the dentist yourself to see if it is okay for you to shadow, no form is required. I hope that helps!
I went to several pre-dental days for 3 different schools for 2 years, would it be under 1 experience or separate entries for each school, and what do I put as the organization and dates?
I think you can put them as separate experiences! and I would name them based on what the school called the programs. Some schools called it like a Pre-dental day, Tufts has an "Impressions day" so you could called it Tuft Impressions day for example. And yes you can put the dates! These pre-dental days are great to put on your application!

Sorry I'm not sure if you'll respond but I got a committee letter done with 2 science and 2 art teachers. When a school says they want 2 science recommendations, does the committee letter count
Great question! Yes, typically I think the committee letter counts as your recommended science LOR. You can always double check with your schools of interest with a quick email too! I hope that helps you! :)
Hello !! I wanted to ask after submitting the application can I still add more classes and more stuff to my application for exam if I’m taking some classes in aug and I already submitted my application in June and that class is pre req how does that work
Hi! Yes I believe there will be a section on the application that you can write any classes you will be taking over the summer! and there will also be a section asking for the classes you will taking in the fall I believe too. I hope that helps!

Thank you for the video! When we do experiences/ achievements should we do it in sentences or bulleted resume form?
I believe when you fill in your individual experiences achievements, it is sentences. But not 100% sure!
