- ANTMoment #43: Kathleen Doesn't Get It (Cycle 8) Although she was one of the most likable contestants, Kathleen's inability to grasp a photoshoot concept made her the best first boot ever.

But what a great attitude! She seemed genuinely grateful for being on the show and said, "Now I'm gonna go home and work hard!" She's so my hero.

She was young and not exposed to a lot, doesn't make her dumb
when they started shooting her, she was being way more aggressive with her face and poses. then they started giving her slightly confusing advice and eventually chose one of the shots where she was just standing there like a deer in headlights. i guess maybe to support the "airhead" character they wanted her and/or this cycle to have idk. this shouldn't have been her last photoshoot.
She actually seems sweet. Maybe she is a little naive, but she's not mean or anything. She's a little gullible but sweet

Britt Homes Exactly, “naive” and “gullible” are honestly words that this contestant would’ve thought had the same meaning as “stupid”. If this girl isn’t stupid, who is? Knowledge is power. A state of knowingness is the meaning of a good life. And this girl doesn’t know shit, and she hardly has the capacity to learn it.

Shawna Brown anti-fur is not “I hate fur” lmao. It refers to being against the fur industry and the use of fur to make clothing. Clearly, she didnt realise that during the photo shoot and misinterpreted it as having a dislike for the aesthetic qualities of fur, evident by her saying “I hate fur” and following it up by saying she likes fur because it “makes you look hot” and “...like I’m destroying the fur”

At least she was genuine. She understood that she didn’t grasp the concept, and she even admitted to feeling bad about it because Jay and Nigel explained it so many times. Bless her soul, she’s not slow; she just needed someone to explain it differently.

Not top model material, but in terms of personality this girl was #1 in my book. Her honesty, empathy and sweetness was so endearing, it's okay that she doesn't quite get things. One of the few "real" girls on ANTM.

Even though she was clueless she was genuine and had a great spirit and truly deserved to be there. It's unfortunate that she was eliminated, but how she handled it was really awesome and a great example about how everyone should handled thing, with a positive attitude.

Gee, the condescending comments here? “Not the sharpest tool,” “simple,” “dumb”... she was none of those. Kathleen had great personality, potential, and actually handled herself very well during the judging. No excuses, no emotional breakdowns, just openly admitted she was confused and even felt bad for the people that tried to explain the concept to her on the set. Her attitude after the elimination was also very mature and inspiring.

Awww she's too innocent and precious for this world!! She had the SWEETEST attitude after being eliminated, expressing gratitude just for being able to be there. I've been watching ANTM stuff for a bit now and she's the very first model I've heard do that.
