John maus is a rock solid artist. I listen to him regularly. Bennington is such a fantastic synth track and everyone should hear it. the outro is so powerful.
Clanton was actually somewhat defensive on John Maus in the statement he put out so I feel like it was more so promoters / the other artists threatening to shut down the entire festival if he didn't remove him. Clanton was originally a 4chan dude and is a huge fan of John so I something tells me this wasn't him just trying to keep his image clean and more so him just getting shoehorned into making that decision.

It’s pretty clear George is fucking pissed about him being removed too, all because people on Twitter who aren’t even going to the festival had to ruin it for everyone.

@@flipburger2000 yeah Sam and a lot of his fanbase probably have little understand of how music industry works or the business of music festivals etc, but what Clanton should have done was when he initially contacted the artists to play the fest, he should have mentioned the other artists he was in talks with, with John being at the front of the list. that way the artists knew what they were signing up for and the lame ones could have just said no.

I felt really mad about Maus being kicked from the festival, especially because I like George Clanton's music, it's derivative of a more obscure 90s sound but it adds to it rather than just rehashing it. Sam would probably think its good if he had heard it before learning about it from this news. I don't know his politics but i'm coping by choosing to believe he only removed him from the con because of optics and pressure from some snitch in his ear, it only takes one dedicated little weasel to ruin the whole thing.

Was stupid to remove John especially since I bought tickets for the soul purpose of seeing him, but George Clanton does make fire music so I disagree with Sam there
This is what I mean. If you contacted by MDE to do a project with them then you need to think seriously on how that may affect your career long-term.
It's a literal bag of chaos. You chose to join the project then you risk others in the industry looking down on you. You don't join the project you lose money and new life long friends and further projects.
MDE is great. They make jokes. They are nothing more than comedians. I feel bad for the people that see anything more than just comedy in what they do.
John will likely be turned away down by other mainstream money making partners and delas due to MDE.
Keep in mind that if that one article was never written about World Peace then none of this crazed negativity would've occurred. The show never would've been canceled and the rest of the crew likely would've gotten 4 full seasons of World Peace.
