Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x9 inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper. 2. Melt the butter in a medium saucepan over low heat. 3. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in sugar, eggs, and vanilla. 4. Beat in cocoa, flour, salt, and baking powder. Spread the batter into the prepared pan. 5. Bake in preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes. Do not overcook; the brownies should be soft in the center. 6. Let them cool in the pan before slicing into squares
