Arabesque by Jennifer Linn

An Early Advanced piano piece from Hal Leonard's Piano Recital Showcase: Romantic Inspirations. Also an NFMC Junior Festival Choice.
I discovered this piece right as the country was shutting down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The breathless beauty, rich chords, and waves of sound washed over me and soothed my heart in the initial anxiety of this new virus and the unknown potential effects in my life and community. I couldn't stop playing it. It's intense and foreboding at times, yet so hopeful and promising, especially at the end. Breathe...We're going to be okay.
