We used the ZeboZAP to strap on our 55 inch tv on our patio post. It can rotate 360 degrees.

I would have like to have seen how the cables pass through that water tight compartment on the back which covers the ports. That in-line IR repeater is cool, but not necessary. As long as the TV and source device is compatible with HDMI-CEC (consumer electronic control,) the TV's remote can already control other devices. HDMI-CEC has been around for a long time, and was part of the original HDMI 1.0 spec. Since then, lots of other features and commands have been added to newer revisions of the HDMI specification.

These tvs (not including bracket, cables, installation) still range from $1500-$8,600 with most towards the higher end so roughly 10+ times the amount of an indoor tv. I can't imagine what they cost when this was installed. I've watched this clip several times over the years and got to wondering how it's held up. They can weatherproof all they want but between the effects of the sun, expansion and contraction with temperature, ANY water getting in, thieves and the bored neighbor kid with a BB gun these are still definitely for rich people. Electronics don't do well in the elements. I'll still inconvenience myself to take the 2 minutes to pop it on it's quick release mount and put it inside when not in use and spend the thousands saved on beer.

Did he just anchor to the stone siding?? Those are only held on with construction adhesive and will fall right off. And even if he went into the sheething, that is only 15/32 OSB at best.

I recently bought a speaker for my shower, it was called water-proof
Learn from my mistake, Water proof only means stuff like, if the shower head hit it. that hose? might not be considered water proof, especially if its a continuous stream and not a shower.
Also, If something is submerged in water, that is not counted against "Water proof".
So, be careful puting this above a pool, you won't get your money back if it fries out.
submerssion-proof is a whole another thing.
