Another great episode! I’m so delighted every time I see you have uploaded a new episode. So much of interest ! I’m very inspired to see your Daruma crochet sweater and your figuring out how to make it! Please take care of your hands. I’m so glad you have come up with a solution. The hood is stunning!

Thank you so much!! I've had to put it on the back burner at the moment because the Midvinter sweater is taking a lot of time, but super excited to get back into it once that one has been completed :D

The green sweater is going to look great as a dress! I think the blue a white bonnet looks so polished and striking. Sounds like you are on exciting journey with the pattern designing, looking forward to seeing where that takes you 😁

Thank you!! I definitely think I'd be able to get more wear out of it in dress form :) I ended up making another bonnet with the colour switched the week after so that one will be in the next episode, very excited to see how things will go with the tutorial etc :) Thanks a lot for the encouragement!! :D

Enjoyed you Seji, I too was overwhelmed with the wrap and turn.. I have since been substituting the german short rows, which for me worked as well. Loved the podcast. You are so inspiring.😊❤

Thanks so much for watching!! :D Yes totally feel you on that one -- I've also heard people say that German short rows sometimes also look more invisible than wrap and turns, so that also an extra win in most cases!! :)

i think the green sweater would look nice paired with a woolen flared or pencil skirt… great job on all your knits. This is my first video to watch of yours . I really enjoyed the content hope to watch more

Ooh I think you might be right with that one! I don't own either of the two, but I have a couple of vintage patterns so might have to take a look at those :) Thanks so much for the suggestion and watching! :D

Loving the weekly podcast. Love how the vintage vest is coming along. Love the pullover you are wearing. I think they are super cute it just doesn't look super cute on my body.

Thanks so much!! :) The augustinsno1 tag on instagram has a wide range of people who have knit their own and I have honestly found them all to be really cute -- I think it's a very adjustable and versatile piece :)

The palm of my hand below my thumb will hurt so bad after crocheting alot plus I have carpal tunnel in my wrist of the same hand. My dominant hand. The right. I have a glove with a brace in it so it doesn't allow me any movement. Sometimes I get discouraged from crocheting and then watching you always gives me that extra push to carry on. Thanks Seji.

Ah I'm so happy to hear that!! I've struggled with injuries with knitting for 3 years now at this point and the thing that has been a total game changer has been to take breaks every 15-25 min (and exercise, but I'll be honest I'm not good at keeping up with that haha)

woooo that vintage cap looks so good!! the colours are gorgeous, it turned out so good! I have raynaud's syndrome which means my hands also get very cold easily (I also probably have funky blood things going on but either way, cold hand gang xD) and those compression gloves actually seem really good, i may check them out! And that knitting podcast you mentioned sounds good too, I'll have to have a look!

Yay cold hand gang haha!! I'd love to hear your experiences if you ever end up giving them a go :). I love watching It's a Sarah, she's really chill! :)

For your hands I have a pattern suggestion, River Mitts from Light from Lantern, they're fingerless gloves without a thumb gusset because it has an extra layer that you can pull over but doesn't cover your fingertips. I have issues with my hands too as a result of my disability and they're an absolute life saver I wear them all the time when I'm crafting

Ooooh thanks so much for the recommendation! I managed to find a free pattern for fingerless gloves before but this one seems like an even better option, I bookmarked the pattern! :)

They're super comfy and you can never have too many fingerless gloves@@SejiFields

Tysm for talking about the pressure gloves, i have raynaud syndrom and i think i'll try using them! My hands freeze when it's below 15°C lol, that's 8 months of the year where i live

On the wrap and turn until 10 stitches left thing, I've done wrap and turn in a few patterns and I've seen similar wording and in those patterns it meant until there's 10 stitches left unknit, don't know how many stitches your pattern has but maybe that's what it means, the only patterns I've had it word it like that have been from companies.

    • @SejiFields
      @SejiFields  Před 5 měsíci +1

Yeah it's the same as with German short rows, the first part about turning was correct, but then they actually meant to say that I should have then knit in the opposite direction until 10 sts left and then resolve the wrap and turn on the next row -- I've knit more of the pattern and there is more stuff that doesn't sound quite right lol -- I'm still working on the pattern and I think I've managed to get over all of the hurdles now :))
