+Chloe Everett Being underrated is turning out to be a privilege for most bands. If you take a look around you can easily figure out that indie/alt music is meant to be listened by the lovers, we're the strangers! We're those who don't get smug or filled up by listening to mainstream, we clearly look for something impacting and highly inspired. We're strict, we always seek perfection and the underrated bands are always the bravest ones. I could jot down so many bands that opened my heart and made my musical taste change totally. The Wombats are such a talented band and I'm honoured of being one of their followers, I deem their music as a priceless gift, its value is too high! Don't care if they're not considered by charts! The matter is that commercial music suits teenager's needs while our need is original, sincere and well rewarded by these unusual bands! Keep appreciating them! I'm proud of seeing so many others giving faith and trust to these skilled guys, gladly!

This was the first Wombat song I heard. I was about eleven years old and my sister put this on. The Wombats was really the first music me and her both enjoyed just as much. It actually braught us closer, and til' this day The Wombats are still my #1 favorite band. They are amazing.
I've been listening to the wombats since like infant school. But especially as a teenager I've always loved the wombats XD

The Wombats are just great.
I can't listen to the Wombats while I'm working because I always end up dancing and singing and watching the videos. LOVE them. Murph has one of the best voices I've heard, reminds me of Morrissey. Combine that with Robert Smith's hair and yeah...I'm beyond in love.

I saw them in concert at the Great American in SF. I was right up against the railings and it was beyond my wildest dreams. Amazing.
christ, those AM vs. wombats comments are agitating to see. they're just too bands who happened to start around the same time in the same musical genre. and then they happened to drift off into different directions. both AM and the wombats are cool in their own way, the rest is just preferences. i love them both for different reasons.
Same, whilst I prefer their older work for both bands and they did the same genre, doesn't mean it's the same music, am have records that have less of a story line, they have songs that have story lines whereas the wombats have albums that tell a story and they both have their own destinct sound, am had a more rough sound and the wombats had a more clean sound and now am have a more chilled out rock pop sound but the wombats have a more full pop rock, idk that's just my opinion but hey ho
