I never get tired of Peter's bonsai videos. So informative
Good to see that not everything is perfect in every season. I think that it is a good starting point for beginners in the bonsai hobby to continue without losing courage, even if it doesn't look so nice. Nature is nature.
It's a fun life he said :D Indeed it is Peter. Nice video again!
No shortage of trees to prune and shape, what a fun. Lovely strong trees indeed Peter,.bravo. Thx for sharing and can't wait for the next one.
I
All your trees are Beautiful. From your hard work..I did not know tree get mildew. My poor Maple has all these black spots on it.🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁🍁👧
Thank you for your comment (👍)☺☺☺
I love your channel. I like how your videos only have a basic framework to talk about and you have a fluid lecture about the things that interest you to talk about in the moment.
This informative video I will return again and go over your pruning and your ongoing explanation. Thanks again .
Thank you for the info on the effects of the heat on maples. I have two that really got burned here in Sacramento this summer. I intend to repot in late winter and hope to get new leaf growth for stronger trees next spring. Your info for us is invaluable and reassuring.
That oak at 4:28!
That is such a nice cotoneaster!
I like maple bonsai so much
Please make a video on mildew!!!
Reminded of Indian summer, we need to take similar precautions here, never thought cover would be needed in England
Good morning. Thanks for the tour and information.☀️
Good afternoon. I have really enjoyed it !!!!
У Вас появились новые поклонники и ученики в Белоруссии, в Минске. Поздравляем Вас и благодарим за откровенный разговор.
Enjoyed the walkabout! 😄
Great video as always, Peter Chan! I hope you’re doing well!
Man, i would love to just stroll around the nursery
Not me. It would make me depressed when I see the price of all amazing looking bonsais.
@@HamSupZhai well that’s why they are expensive. They are art that took years and decades
@@jackrinderer6790 I know. All I said was I wouldn't want to walk stroll around the nursery. I didn't ask why they were so expensive.
I was there only a few weeks ago! So peaceful and an absolutely mind-boggling amount of beautiful trees
@@tobywilson4876 how do I make a thick and old looking trunk on a mame bonsai ?
Good job Mr!
Another wonderful video. I have my dishojo maple bonsai that I purchased from Peter sitting patiently in my unseated greenhouse waiting for spring. I’ll be building a collection from Herons over the coming months , along with collecting a few bits and bobs as I walk the dog. I’m brand new to bonsai, and the thing I struggle with the most is where and how to prune ! I’ve had a couple of Portulacaria Afra trees bought for me as gifts, I know that as they are garden centre stock, they’re not the best of specimens, I’d love to know how to shape and prune them to try and improve them. If ever you’re cold over winter Peter , please have a go at a novices video for Portulacaria! 👍🏻🌳
Thank you for the education, l am now getting interested in your field and you have been very encouraging. Mumtaz from Tinidad in the West lndes
A salute to you sir... you are indeed a legend.
The summer has been fairly mild here in the Carolinas....with plenty of rain. Your pyrocantha....i would emphasize its struggle with that rock.....maybe wrap a lower limb as to embrace the rock...to acknowledge it as the struggle and a friend.....
I can sympathize. We here in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA are entering our 184th day without rain 🥵. The summer was awful. Cheers everyone, and pray for rain
How do you survive in that kind of climate?
I hope everywhere that needs rain gets it. We haven't had it nearly so bad as you in my part of Iowa this year, but we still needed more rain than we got. I set up a rain barrel and I plan to make 2 more for next year to help us through in our garden
@@peterchan3100 It’s been tough. I drink plenty of water and wear my shade at all times
@@bgertsma indeed. Good luck in your endeavors!
@@rickmb6961 and to you as well
It's always great to see what's going on at Herons nursery! Do you have any potted silver birches? It would be great to hear about how to prune these
Birches tend to suffer dieback, I don't think they suitable for bonsai.
Love this channel
spettacolo.....👌👏
Thanks for pointing out the horse chestnut leaves browning. I thought it was particularly noticeable this year all around the UK and was worried it might have been a disease. I suppose I just haven't been as observant in past years?
Amzing 👍👍👍👍
Thanks Peter
👍👌🌲Great as Always 🙏🙏🙏
I lovs you.
love this guy
Greetings
Watching this video made me realise that the climate you live in place such a major role on tree care. My maples have been suffering severely with leaf burn after trying the "grow in full sun" advice provided by most sources, but considering that the average summer temperature is between 31 and 35 degrees Celsius where i stay, when it's not a heatwave, i think i'll be setting up a shade tunnel. Any advice on the percentage of shade for above temperature ranges?
;) good merci ! thx
you have a lot of bonsai standing just in the yard. they do not get sick, the leaves do not begin to turn brown or yellow? rust on eating leaves? or do you somehow treat them, spray them with some solution?
Yeah I'm feeling that every year for 8 weeks o do water leaves
Hi Peter. I received dawn redwood seeds today. What is the best way to sow these seeds and when should I sow them?
Thank you for your encouraging and informative videos. You have rekindled my interest after 40 years. I'm wondering if there is a better way to overwinter trees in Toronto other than burying the pots in the garden. My small greenhouse gets very warm in the sun but freezes at night. Thanks for any suggestions.
How do I make an old and thick trunk on pine bonsai ? (Plz help)
let the tree grow out a lot because that adds growth to the trunk and for it too look old i don’t really know i think you just have to wait and get it overtime but it will be worth the wait
How come that the deshojos are still red in August, does it have to do with them being in the sun?
Good morning Perer
I want planting a maple tree in the my garden
..yuo infected my..🤣
I wanted to know which maple resistant to sunburns between these
Deshojo,orange dream,sango kaku or osakazuki??
And becose my maple dissectum crimson queen in ground,it also burns the leaves even in partial shade...
Thank you
You make alwase a super jobs💪🏻
Can a bonsai in a pot live through the winter outside in Canada
If it's a native species.
Bonsai in winter ?
Nice...! One question please reply me, Can we grow maple trees in India climatic condition? will they survive?
i don’t think so because they require a certain amount of hours below freezing per winter at least that’s what i’ve heard but go for it man!
@@Bw40099 Okay, Thank you for the information....
Thank you@@maddawgnoll for sharing required environment for maple tree but I don't think I can provide such environment.
When do you take the wires out
When the bonsai can stay in the position without the wires
Peter should ship to india
are you always up editing this late
haha different time zones :)
@@misanthro ahhhhhh
I produce too many videos so many are in the pipeline waiting to be shown.
@@peterchan3100 thank you for replying I'm a big fan 😁
Yeah it’s like fall

This camera guy is now starting to venture off on his own and Peter's presentation is interrupted and has to wait for him to catch up. When is Peter going to correct him.
It's so sad that they cant ship to the Philippines 🥺
Not their fault
the bell scared me
Climate Change is coming ...here in Germany my trees suffer even more Bad
😭😭😭
First
Nothing seriously wrong with these trees. Hardly any effect of sun or underwatering. Nobody will believe that this stuff is to do with your care. If uou want to differentiate, best idea is to show full sun vs puned. Especially when you mix all of this content together. Most people looking here are not bonsaists lol! 😆 Ludicrous Peter. Come on! 😂
