Thanks for having us out!!! Had an amazing time representing D3 BaseballâŒïž
gg
0:33 thatâs awsome
You killed it bro!
Nice job Eric was probably crying after you guys left
This feels so Geneva adjacent. Thanks for repping the PAC.
âTaking a book out of Trevors pageâđđđhe said it backwards
So excited he said it backwards đ
I was thinking the same thingđ
Hoping someone else caught that too
Thanks for having us out! Ton of funđđ»
@@BaseballLife19 bro Iâm the pitcher đđđ
@@BaseballLife19 oont oont
That change up on your first strike out was nasty
Bearcat alum here, good stuff Drew. I'll def come watch the Bearcats play this spring in Latty.
This video is a perfect representation for throwing hard not being as important as hitting your spots and mixing up your pitch types and locations
eh
@@ryansack5198 was thinking the same thing lol. I think Eric was just really off his game today
@@mrstealyurgirl2467 u might want to look up the careers of Greg maddux and Jamie Moyer. Maddux is on the record saying he used to throw slower if his command was off it helped him regain his command and it was a slower speed than what the hitter was used to seeing so it would buy him time till he found his command
velo matters
@@blankname6629 I know, I pitch the same way. I have no velocity but I use 4 pitches that all move differently and have their own speeds. This guy has fastball slider, maybe a changeup hidden in there but it was hard to tell. Eric should've just been taking the slider since he was locating it well off the outside edge and sat fastball and crushing anything in the zone
Talent everywhere. If you can play they will find you.
There's Juco Level
There's D3 Level
And then there's Eric
And then alllll the way below those we got cole
@@mikehawk401 hey he tries his bestđ
@@samuelalles4397 he lowkey be violating sim sometimes đ i personally wouldnât take that kind of disrespect
Wasn't Eric playing JUCO back in the days?
A lot of D1 started on this level before moving up.
I played JUCO (we called it CĂ©gep) in Quebec and people could play at the level too.
As a former D3 player, way to represent
i love how eric was fighting for his life and trevor and everyone was just sitting and having a good timeđđđ
Who needs a mid video add when the commentary of the video advertises them?
The king of popping up in the air 200ft and saying thatâs gone!! Eric Sim
Love watching this content, especially when they bring in some of the softball players.
One of the best videos in a while, love the commentary from the chairs đ
Keep these videos going , it shows that anyone can make it at any level in college so keep grinding wether youâre Juco all the way up to D1 !
Just another example of command and being able to mix pitches much more important than high velo but velo looks cool for the coaches and scouts for sure
it's fun seeing all the former pros sitting together having a good time
Noob here, I know Bauer is pro and Sim played a few games in the MLB but who are the others?
Beautiful message at the end †đȘđœ
The kid has good secondary stuff. Solid depth to the slider and nice run on the change
Dave, donât you think if he got a little stronger, cleaned up some mechanics, he can be 85-88? His secondary is good, lots of movement.
@@chadmanl2121 that could be said for every player this age nearly. The fact he's not doing it is why he's d3. He pitches like I did. Mid 80s and a bunch of junk to keep folks off balanced. Reaching that next level takes an exponential increase in work and dedication. He's probably OK with just getting a degree and playing ball these extra few years.
@@TheChainChasers I think playing for fun and getting a degree from an excellent D3 school is the smart route to go. D1 is a full time job and itâs so stressful looking over your shoulder for the next guy. My 15 yr old freshman is 82-83 and you wouldnât believe how much time he spends lifting and working on his mechanics. Iâm constantly telling him Iâd rather play at a highly academic D3 than a crappy D1 academic school! Heâs determined to hit 90 by junior year and hoping to get looks from the Ivies. For me, if youâre fortunate enough to play ball after high school at any level, thatâs an amazing accomplishment.
This goes to show you don't need to throw absolute gas to get people out
This comment approved by Greg Maddux
For the Minors and the Majors? You still need some tho
@@agoodday4pi greg maddux threw decently hard for most of his career especially with the velo standards back then and didnât start to slow down until the end of his career
@@ithrowgas5833 but even as he slowed down he was still effective... pretty much supporting the point of the initial comment by Bow Hunter
@@agoodday4pi somewhat effective⊠if you look at his stats by year⊠the slower he threw the more his era went up
We need a video of Sim pitching to Trevđđ
Way to represent all us D3 ballplayers.
The edits and content look so good........ like those chairs :)
peanut gallery got an upgrade
Shout out to Valencia Seating!
Letâs go!!!! Great video love the D3s slider! Nasty stuffđźđź
Iâm always questioning how Eric was a pro đđ
Tbf heâs older and probably doesnât practice as intensely now
Up and it pitches are dope I love the videos that you and Trevor beauer make And Eric And the juicos are funny and awesome
guess i got lucky at my d3. i was one of the closers, throwing off speed mainly and 2 seam mid 80s, and the 3 starters were 2 rights throwing 91-92 and a lefty throwing 93-94. lot of people called us the d1 rejects since we all had something wrong with us. for me it was being 5'6. no one wanted a midget pitcher
thereâs a good amount of short dudes playing power 5 baseball now⊠shame
YOU GUYS ROCK!! LOVE THE CONTENT
8:40 that was smooth trev
Damn Trev was taking his sweet sweet time with that salad
Watched D3 college baseball games in Northwest Conference. Majority of pitchers had fastballs over 90 mph. One dude was pumping 95 mph. All exciting games. Iâve watched D1 games with pitchers barely touching 90 mph & multiple errors. If you put top teams from every level, youâll have a competitive tournament. Just look at the international tournaments like World Baseball Classic, Taiwan beat Netherlands thatâs full of minor & major leaguers.
Eric:" Thats a double what do you mean"
Trevor: "You're FAT"
Another great video. Cheers
I like how you guys love to trash talk each other and dont get feelings hurt. Eric is a great sport.
FOR THE UđđŒ
4:32 @EricSim you are on it though, the struggle bus!
this the longest Ad roll for a chair i've ever seen.
Watching yâall videos make miss baseball
When Eric Says âSEE YAâ and itâs a pop out lmao
"Takin a book out of Trevors page..." LOL!!
Great content baby!! Let's go!!!
damn those chairs be lookin more comfy then the others
love this !
I love how everyone always roots against Eric đ
Nice battle!
Do it with people that are starting to pitch and see how it goes the ones before high school
Honestly talent is everywhere! I was a closer to two nasty dudes in high school. The worst was I was actually pretty nasty just with a list of health problems so I wasnât looked at (gladly so i probably need Tommy to pitch again) and the ace I closed after the most had back to back no nos. Iâd love to see prime Jack Wheeless against Eric cuz that dude was NASTY (he was D2 js)
I like the way they got a chair improvement
I love the blatant sponsor. Itâs way funnier that way
Geez I love this channelđ
Babe wake up, Momentum posted another banger
It took me a minute to realize this was a 13 minute ad for those chairs, albeit an enjoyable 13 minutes
83-84 is really good. Bump it a couple mphs the next two years, you will be sitting 90. You can do it!
0:55 lmao taking a book out of a page
Good stuff as always.. Ericâs going to need a massage chair!
Love the vids
8:17 is my favourite moment, perfect pitch in the perfect spot, freezing him like frozone
Just like every level it depends on where you go. I had teammates at Juco who went D3 and threw low 90s with decent off speed. Some people just donât get the chance to be seen and go to higher levels like they should
Proud to be a St Vincent Alum #Bearcats
I love how the catcher is framing the pitches even though itâs a robot umpire hahaha
Sim gets folded once again đđ đ
This was the ad read I never knew I wanted
Great show, gentlemen as always,
Cole you look so little in that chair, lmao
Pops,
You guys should keep those chairs there for ever video they look comfy.
What sleeve is that, that the pitcher is using the brand??
I think everyone forgets that Eric is well into his 30's now. This made sense to me.
ooooooohhhhhh upgrade of the folding chairs
Iâm convinced that my grandmaâs fastball would fold Sim now đ
Trevor, cole, and tosh the entire tube reminded me of statler and Waldorf
eric should have his own division đ
D6đ
If he can get the velo up heâs solid! That curve is already nasty
Trevorâs going to Cleveland, Foreshadowing with the hittrax stadium selection.
I hope that's the case, he was my favorite pitcher
That first slider was filthy lol
Trevor enjoying his salad the entire video
Maybe I'm biased being from Florida. Idk how you can pitch in high-school sitting 83 mph. When I played that was alow enough to kinda jam you up almost for an inning or two before you go for 10 earned in 3
I donât know who reads these comments but who ever does can you tell Trevor that we are having our alumni game on Sunday and tell him that we all want him to come. People donât think he will come but I believe
Like this so they will see it
(Edit) Iâm a freshmen btw
is the audio off for anyone else when they're showing the actual pitches from behind?
Hey!!! I was a D3 pitcher and before I tore my rotator cuffâŠ.I was pretty bad ass! Not Nolan Ryan or Greg Maddux baddass but I had my moments. 94 mph fastball followed up by a 78 mph circle change! Get at me lol
Ok gotta be honest when I was there it was NAIA. But still
Taking a book out of Trevorâs page. đ
New setup and new chairs!
St Vincent College, home of the Stillers training camp!
Wait till Eric finds out that they actually throw sliders in the mlb
Eric has more at bats than anybody in baseball I think heâs an excellent hitter
Gave it a like a third of the way through the video just for the chairs.
i wish i could be in a vid but i have never played baseball cage ball looks fun tho
Trev didnât touch his salad the entire videođ
LOL he said "taking a book out of trevors page" but we all understood what he was saying.
Former Juco Player who played infield. Have a surgically repaired labrum and I bet I could strike Eric out. Havenât pitched since HS but I can def get him out
Well as a Clevelander I can honestly say I miss Trevor but at least I can watch him here
The reactions are hilarious
Tosh keeps messing with the chair #getfolded đ€Ł
I don't think Eric has ever hit the free heater after a walk lol
Been watching this channel for 2 years, still never seen Eric get a hit
i kown
Letâs GO D3 Bandits
Eric, want to face an adult league pitcher? I threw in college for 4 years. Stopped throwing for 3 years and now Iâm pitching in an adult league. Let me know if youâd like to K every AB.
I feel attacked by the intro since I was previously D3 lmao
Flip the hit trax around so itâs not backwards for us.
What's Daniel Riccardo doing pitching
Division 3 baseball is a great division a lot of great pros came from D3
GOD BLESS
The problem of course is that as one goes down the athletic skill curve, the athletes get better and better and can make those just behind them on the curve look pretty bad, I mean the difference between a pro player and a D1 player can be pretty dramatic in the NBA, but really that is all sports. Essentially the pros are the allstars of D1 and so on, so by the time you get to D3, those players don't compete well, but compared to the population at large? They're actually pretty good!
Seems like the scoring system puts the pitcher at a massive disadvantage
