It partly was but it was also to add in a water reservoir for steam generation and two zone cooking. This allows for a blending of both.

What is the proper way to season my new 22” deluxe slow and sear
Simply set up for a cook like normal and let it burn off for 30 minutes or longer before putting food on the grill.
Why don't the baskets fit the contour of the kettle better.?

What makes these better than the Weber baskets? Just a water reservoir? Curious
These are 430 stainless steel so they will last an incredibly long time, they are larger as well so you can run the grill longer. You add in the water reservoir and it’s now an incredibly versatile system.

Not at this time. Our smallest is for the 18" kettles

I'm confused, how does differ from the basket the kettle already ships with. To move them around and make a center zone?
These baskets are smaller then the Slow 'N Sear inserts but bigger than the typical insert you see that come with kettle grills. Add to that the water wall and it's a great entry into the Slow 'N Sear system.

WILL THIS FIT THE SNS TRAVEL KETTLE 18 INCH?
Unfortunately they won’t. But we do have an 18’’ charcoal basket that will work :)
