#themartian #mattdamon - Krátké a kreslené filmy
They cut so much from the books but they made a movie that maintained the pure spirit of it. Pure smart assery and intellect got him through it.
@@pyroslev yeah and the point at which the pathfinder was disabled would have been hard to adapt to film.
I think they did a good job going from book to movie although i wish they had left that one part in about her potentially having to eat everyone else if they don't get the supplies. changed the entire tone of the book for me.
@@s70driver2005 Her?
@@arx5638 iirc the plan for the people on the return mission to get him agreed that if things got bad supply wise (ex. something went wrong along the way), the smallest among them (woman named Johannsen I think?) was to be the designated survivor if the resupply slingshot to the spacecraft didnt work.
“…because you’re launching me IN A CONVERTIBLE!”
Didn't he say "in a rag-top"?
@@xifel72 Watch the clip. He clearly said “convertible”.
Everyone in the theater laughed at that line 😂
Fun Fact: in the book, Watney literally removed one of the first stage rocket engines of the MAV.
Always want to see Mark say, how much did this cost??? Holding up a random piece of titanium and then throwing it out of the hatch.
@@grumpy2.0 Considering time spent and likely results, I don't think he needed to stretch that Hab canvas over the capsule's nonexistent nose...
Ah yes, an Armageddon reference would have been great!
"Somebody tell me what this is. Plastic ice cream scoop? What'd that cost? About $400?"
2:39 - Boeing door plugs finally useful.
Not fixing the MAV but modifying it.
👏🏻👏🏻Great movie and great actor👏🏻👏🏻
❤❤❤
Mars less encroaching add more trees and green 💚 add more trees atmosphere added
Anyone in December 2137?
The thing that always gets me with this movie is that why did they send the MAV ahead of the arrival of future missions? Surely that MAV is at risk of the very same issue that caused their evacuation at the start of the movie. Still a very enjoyable movie.
id have put that down to where it is located, the rocket could be a lot deeper down in the crater, giving it more protection from such storms. Also where HAB was, it looked like it was much more open and on higher ground.
Green areas on Mars blue sky on mars
I have yet to see the movie so I am curious what the fabric over the nosecone is supposed to accomplish?
Reduce drag, kind of like if thr nise cone was still present.
@@estebanpineros9409 Ah. Seems reasonable…if it would survive without shredding.
@@paulstacy1992 it would fail, but by the time it does, atmosphere would be thin enaugh for it to not matter
@@Rahkesh357 This was the miscalculation that caused the missed rendezvous.
Also mars atmosphere is a lot thinner than earths, so it wouldn’t push as hard into the tarp
Why hasnt this one tipped in the dust storm?
Weather in place A != Weather in Place B
Plot hole. Nothing about the dust storm makes sense. It's just there to set up Man vs Nature theme of the book. Don't worry about it.
@@businka1are we able to get accurate meteorological data here on earth, much less on another planet??
hey does anyone know aliens exist
Why is he chewing snacks all the time he is talking througout the film?
Humans have to eat to survive. Hope this helps 👍
💜✌️
I thought it was a documentary

Who's here before this goes viral?
Great Movie, because of Mark Walberg.
Hello from Seattle, Washington!
That’s Matt Damon under all that fur.
lets go to a planet and litter it up !
Lol it doesn't care, the "litter" will wear down/break down and be reabsorbed by the planet. Litter is only a short term issue, long term all litter is broken down and all evidence of it gone.
They basically Stole this Recuse Scene from the Movie "RED PLANET" Staring Val Kilmer.
whoever thought that matt damon somehow looks like a nonchalant genius if he keeps fucking snacking deserves to be forced to watch him snack 24/7 and he'll be nowhere near as annoyed as i am whenever i see him chew and talk at the same time. There, now you know this.
