PlayStation been really leaning into vouchers and digital games lately, CDPR could’ve fit PL into the UHD disc easy but I think Sony is to blame here CDPR do it for Xbox but not PS, like sony did with Spider-Man 2 voucher in console bundle and collector’s edition even spiderman 1 remaster is digital only currently although horizon FW complete edition dlc and base is on disc which is weird how they can decide what and what not to put on disc and make voucher only

what's the point of an "ultimate edition" if it comes with a DLC code? hard pass, will keep the original which comes with a bunch of stuff and a steelbook.
The PS5 copy most likely has all the critical patches and extras loaded right to the disc, so there’s that at least.

There's plenty games on PS5 and PS4 that has DLC in games. Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut for example has on both.
CDPR is just lazy and brainless who wants to everything be digital when they can just take it away from the store at anytime. Physical copies never go away.

@@Ahmedaa-xq9qf So? Idc if it was 5 discs, as long as I own the game and the dlc is on the disc I'm happy. In the future when Sony pulls the plug you won't be able to play Phantom Liberty, which is the best part of cyberpunk by FAR.

@@user-ko1fs6qd9zsomething people don't understand is even if you have the disc, if the game disappears from the server you can't download patches, for example if you buy the ps4 or xbox one version of this game you will play the day one version and you know what that means. And so is for this version as well.
CDPR really screwed this one up. The complete versions of Witcher 2 and Witcher 3 always had the updates and DLC on the disk. They're supposed to be the game preservationist company where they sell DRM-free games. What a joke

PLEASE do an unboxing as soon as the Xbox version releases. There are some peculiarities that make it unique.
1) I want to see how they package 3 discs.
2) Apparently this is the first Xbox disc that will have a “Ultra HD” label, like PS5 discs. I wonder if the discs are now 66GB instead of 50GB.

This is due to Sony's bureaucracy, not whether it fits or not.
They could've, but CDPR was too lazy to do it. They would have had to create a new SKU, which would mean having the game go through Sony's verification again which takes some time. It's not really an issue, CDPR did this with the Witcher 3, but somehow couldn't pull it out their ass to do it again.

I dont have it myself but I can confirm that it comes with update 2.0 by default, it's basically the update that finally shows the game that CDPR promised 3 years ago

Pretty much other games I have in my collection that are similar to this situation is dying light 1 anniversary edition all the dlc is on a voucher and resident evil village gold edition with the winter expansion on a voucher code sucks cause I sold them and it’s just basically the base game for the new owners

Is this being sent out for global market or is this an America only here? I really wanna get this in my country (South Africa here) but im reloading the Google searches and no game store of mine has the physical editing here
It's supposed to be global, the thing is that it hasn't come out yet (it comes out on December 5th), and in certain places like here in Mexico (my case) we are literally down and there still isn't any store that sells xd

I'm keeping my PS4 version, which I can play on both PS4 and PS5. What use is the PS5 version to me, where I have to load the expansions first, just like the original PS4 version, but without backwards compatibility with the PS4.
Except DLC is just reskinned Fallout NV DLC's that's way less hours. It's overpriced for just 15h in the game (11 if you run through speedrunning) unlike BaW and HotS together that's like over 50h and filled with contents.
This one is just on Far Cry 3-4 level with enemy NPC's having Oblivion pea brains.
I don't have good internet access. Is the ultimate version playable with latest patches right away? Only the phantom liberty dlc missing? In other words is the ultimate version the upgraded version for current gen?

I am thinking of getting this for xbox series x, i rather have the disc then a code. I own the ps4 and had the xbox version i should sell the ps4 version maybe just the disc and keep the box. I might pick this up on the 5th, i did buy the steam version which i am glad but might get ti for xbox because it good deal.

This is why I have both a series X and a PS5.
Without connecting to the internet at least once a day the series x/s becomes a paper weight which I don’t like . Ps5 for me it is for being able to fully function offline . This is a VERY disappointing release I was waiting for an ultimate/complete edition to have EVERYTHING on disc like the Witcher 3.

The Witcher 3 on Nintendo Switch already included all the Dlcs and Expansions in a cartridge with little storage.

The Ultimate Edition only comes with a sticker, which is disappointing. At least the OG versions have a map and postcards.
Also if the PC and PS5 versions of the DLC are a voucher, then the Xbox version should have to be the same.
Why downgrade the Xbox version just because, yeesh? It would be better if CDPR went through certification again and made it a bundle so it could be complete on disc on PS5 as well.

They show that as Fem V is the Canon version. For the story.

I honestly think it has something to do with the Next Gen Update for CP2077,since when the game came out it had the male V,and for all the trailers too,but since the launch has been what ahs been,they needed to show "the new cyberpunk", that's why they substituted the male with the female now

PT-BR is Brazillian Portugese and ES-MX is Mexican 'Espanol' Spanish, how they differ from their prime languages IDK.
At least Xbox version has everything on 3 UHD bluray discs, PS4 had two discs yet now they can't fit it all on one disc so you get to download it anyway? Defeats the purpose of another hard copy, especially if a major update was released day one needing to download an additional 20GB+
Compared to the original basic PS4 release this "Ultimate" edition has 10% of the items in box, let alone the collector's edition. Such BS

Only patch 2.00 you have to download patch 2.1
The PS4 box says 70GB minimum, the PS5 case says 88GB minimum, but my PS5 upgrade on my SSD says 62.41 GB so Hell if I know what's going on....

Does anyone know why it’s not on sale anymore I tried to get it on target but it been out of stock for a while
It seems to be rare at this point. It’s not listed at Target, Walmart, or even Best Buy anymore. eBay sellers selling for about $100 now as well. I tried to order a PlayAsia US version only for it to be canceled claiming they are now out of stock. What I’m having to do is order it online for store pick up at a GameStop two hours away from home. But it’s worth the drive for me cuz I’ll be in the area anyways. I suggest try getting one asap from a trusted retailer before you have no luck finding it. I don’t believe it’s getting a restock based on all evidence I found.

You are taking away value just peeling the plastic wrapping off the games, but its all just to show us absolutely nothing as games dont include jack in physical colpies anymore. It’s a shame, but I guess I understand it. Most of their pre-launch promotion material showcased Male V, which of course has associations with the piss poor launch the game had.
They’re probably trying to escape that. They could’ve had a reversible cover at least though, with Male V on the other side…the same way the base game cover had Female V on the other side aswell
