I said that and I repeat it if honor uses one ui on their phones then no one would buy Samsung phones because the Chinese companies has already great hardware
the problem is Chinese phones have much worse software when got released to global market (outside mainland China).
It should be added that Samsung devices have a much higher resale value than any Chinese manufacturer, the same as the brand, there is Samsung technical service almost everywhere on the planet, physical stores, it is worth mentioning the collaborations with other big players in the industry to improve its offer (Google, Microsoft, Qualcom, etc), the security of the software, all of those are also added values that many forget. If we look at the complete package, the fold is still the best foldable.
Contrary to what many people say, I think the external screen of the Fold 6 is now wide enough (almost as wide as Asus Zenphone 10, S24), on the other hand that the battery has not increased to at least 4800-5000mAh and the photo sensors have not evolved, it's criminal !!!
But it seems that the Fold 6 still beats out other phones in battery life, because of its efficient processor. I saw a recent test on CZcams where the Fold 6's inner unfolded screen was tested against smaller screen phones with higher mAh and managed to beat all of them except for the IPhone 15 Pro Max and S24 Ultra (the S24 Ultra edged it out only by a couple of minutes) But even at that, the other phones were heating up a lot whereas the Fold didn't.
That’s true. Even the OnePlus Fold was impressive in form factor but their software is nothing compared to Samsungs. IMO from my own experience.
Oh as a One Plus fan this is important to me. Thank you for that, I bet it has a lot to do with it being OPPO in disguise instead of our reliable and good ol' OnePlus before they bought it...

Completely agree! It's about the overall package. I tried so bad to switch and give OnePlus Open a try. I looked at the other global offerings. At the end of the day, I just got the Fold6. Yes, it's not the most impressive overall in terms of outer screen size or thickness (or thinness). But build quality, software, Dex, etc. - the overall package is just better in my opinion.
I went to a store to see new Samsung items. Ring is very light and I did not feel it on my finger. Flip looks really good. I also really like new Fold design. Samsung did good job with phones. Maybe in the future Fold will be thinner and have better cameras specs.
Dont know why some are complaining without pointing out those those thing which they think are missing. Zfold6 is complete package for now. From quantity to quality.
Fold 6 is surprisingly a great balance between a remote controller and too-wide-for-1-hand. Looks Premium!
Im waiting for fold 7. My fold 4 didnt even last one year before the screen went out. Got it repaired under warranty and went out again in less than a year. After that, i switched to the S24 Ultra.
I was hoping for the phone to last two years so i could trade it in for a Fold 6 but it didnt even come close to making it.
I even had the same problem with the Fold 3 so ive lost a lot of confidence in the Fold line.
Until Samsung can prove the screen lasts several years of opening and closing the phone, im not going back to the fold, as much as i love it.

Fold 4 has that general screen issue, ive read. The Fold 2, 3 and 5 do not suffer the same issues apparently.
Looks and Feel of ZFold is way beyond. This is signature luxury. Period
To be honest and maybe I am crazy....the z fold line should've been the evolution of the Note. Leave the S Line separate. What I would like to see is a sandwiched S24U. Call me crazy but that's what I think.

I played with the Fold 6 today, It was beautfully well crafted, very thin, and the front screen was suprisingly finally giving the feeling of acceptable which made me really happy. I cant imagine what the Magic V2 is like,despite wanting sammy to be that thin for so long now im not that sure, The fold 6 felt thing enough, for a second i had the thought of what if this is too thin?Thats never happened before,its because its so refined and tightly packaged,Feels very premium

I played with it yesterday at the store. Still too narrow for my liking and the price is insane even with all the discounts. Not for me. Still waiting for the rollables.

My main issue with the Z Fold 6 is the non-upgraded camera. They're still using the old Z Fold 4 camera. WTF?!? Can we at least get the S24 or S23 Ultra camera??
I really want to like the z fold 6, I really do. But not with those cameras. I will have buyer's remorse after a month. Why Samsung couldn't just do like Google pixel fold and add the flagship cameras. Dang. it can't be that hard to do.

I love Samsung. I have been buying their units for years. But I'll be honest, Samsung didn't invest much in the Fold 6 or the S24U, which I currently own. It's beautiful and stylish, or whatever you want to call it, but the camera, battery and charging speed are not ready for this current era. Samsung got so lazy to innovate, all they talk about is Ai this and Ai that, damn it, focus on what people want, we are the ones who made you rich, listen to our request. But that's our fault cause we keep supporting them. Samsung is like: we don't care, at the end of the day they will continue buying our products. We need to put pressure on them.
For me, the best foldable phone for 2024 is without a doubt the Vivo Fold 3 Pro. These Chinese brands are trying hard innovating, while Apple and Samsung do the minimum🙄😔

I was really hoping they would add S Pen support to the outer screen or introduce better and more exciting cameras this time around, but it looks like that wasn't meant to be.
I'm a life long samsung fan but I think I'm not anymore, they used to push hardware featueres so much . If Huawei was still present this would never have happened.

Even with the best and greatest software on fold 6, it still doesn't justify that kind of price tag, especially with such little improvement over the fold 5. This will only make the rest of us hold on to our phone for much longer period of time instead of changing to a new one every 1 or 2 years.
Samsung is going to have a hard time explaining to people how "7 version updates" helps them when after 2 the AI stuff goes away unless you pay them AGAIN for the phone you already paid for.
It would be so easy if samsung stopped being pussies and increased the battery size, overall formfactor to facilitate a camera system equal to that of ultra series and, of course, an s pen. The bar is so low for phones these days as far as upgrades they could very easily reestablish themselves in a market they are drowning in because of a lack of innovation.
The problem is that folds just don't make sense to the average person. There's no real reason to have a larger display on a mobile device. It's solving a problem that doesn't exist. Now, if they made the next tablet fold down in size for easier storage and travel, that would turn heads. All fold owners already have one, and no new consumers want them.

I dont get why they said that the reason they kept the front screen so narrow was due to... get this, "CONSUMER FEEDBACK." Like, WTH? 95% of consumers complained about it being too narrow and begged for it to get wider. The inner display needs to get bigger, too, and its aspect ratio needs to be changed. Now it's almost a perfect square, so watching movies and videos on it results in having massive top and bottom black bars. You'd probably and ironically get a larger viewing area when watching videos by just using a non folding phone.
Remember that pattern based render of the Z folds 6 from a few months ago? That would have been so perfect. I don't get why they chose to re-release the same design language for the 5th time in a row since the Fold 2
oh u have no idea, people in the US or west may think wider is better, but we in asia, alot of people likes the narrow form factor, even at my work place, when i ask 10 people, 8 will prefer the narrow form facter of the fold. Not 95% prefer wider, it maybe close to 60/40, but still.....
Samsung has the research data; you don't. If you want a wide front cover, you have PLENTY of options...but you didn't buy any of them, did you? Samsung sees that, and knows people are complaining for no good reason.

Don't be jealous from Chinese companies. There foldable products are better that's why they have more market share. I used samsung foldable and Chinese companies foldable and truth is Chinese foldable are better
The software is a overblown, eventually the Chinese Foldables will win out with the hardware. Basic phone use is calling, using apps and surfing the net. All the extra software Samsung has is rarely used and really not needed for day to day use.

The experience isn't better, and the camera quality is shit. The Fold cameras Must to reach at least the S23 Ultra level. What's going on with the pricing? They're selling essentially the same device for three years straight with no significant upgrades, yet the price has increased. In theory, they should be benefiting from economies of scale as they sell more foldables. It seems like Samsung is just trying to find stupid customers who will upgrade yearly, relying on trade-in deals (which still allow Samsung to make a profit, revealing the true cost of these phones).
Wth is this guy talking about. The problem is not only about thinnest but dimension and camera. The chinese company provide all of the best spec. But people forgot about something important. Customer service. Oppo and vivo (my experience) is way ahead in customer service than samsung. They are willing to come to my place to fix my phone for free or even just ask for screen protector replacement. Wth are you even talking about? In foldable samsung is not no.1 already.

The Honor foldable phone is like that woman in your life that you find absolutely beautiful and gorgeous and you just wanna do bad things with her. But then you get to know her and you quickly realize why she's been single for so long. It's because she has the worst attitude ever and she has a horrible character.

The multitasking is personally gimmicky on the OnePlus Open. Looks very functional but weird to use. To each his own.

I've decided I'm going to skip the Galaxy fold 6 this year and get the pixel fold 2, instead.
I regret my decision moving to Pixel Fold from Z Fold 3. Pixel software is no good for foldable and no where near Samsung's. Just ordered Z Fold 6 trading in my Pixel Fold.

Pixel fold 2 will be worse than Z fold 6, which is worse than Honor and Vivo folds.
@@Ajay-vm5kz - Galaxy Fold's are too glitchy and they have problems. Currently typing this from the 1st gen Pixel Fold. Haven't had any problems and this thing is a work horse.
They need to make the front display even wider and they need to give it better camera specs in order for me to buy it. There's no reason this phone shouldn't have the same camera setup as the Ultra lineup.
