    Hi Naveen sir please reply my question Actually I am manual tester but my company ask me to get Java with SDET Cirtificate then I have taken training of Java but I don't understand stand how much knowledge is required for Writing script of Java I know like concepts but not able to solve problems , some concepts also confuse . So I want know how much knowledge of Java is required .

  • @sayantan033
    @sayantan033 Před 2 lety +2

    @Naveen Sir shouldn't I apply for a developer job instead of an SDET role which will not only help me to increase my payscale and also help me to grow further if I am learning this much Java?

    • @gauravchettri9705
      @gauravchettri9705 Před 2 lety

      It all depends on your interest if you are enjoying testing concepts stick with it. If you like developing and creating stuff switch to development, basically your mindset and approach should help you choose the path you would want for yourself in the longer run. No doubt, the same concepts that Naveen has mentioned can be used for both testing as well as development but in the end, you need to evaluate your way of thinking is better suited for development or testing.

  • @vandanaarora7404

    Hi Naveen.. thanks for this list.. do you have any video recommendation for Time/Space complexity which explains it in easy manner
    Also, this might be a silly question.. Regarding Algorithms, we know some companies ask these in their interviews..but are they really in use while working on any project.. I mean I haven't heard of anyone mentioning it in my experience as of now.. if yes, can you please explain like how these are useful for automation engineer while working on a project..

    • @nitinjain2262
      @nitinjain2262 Před 2 lety +1

      For Time/Space complexity you can refer to these videos: czcams.com/video/N89PN_uyelU/video.html and czcams.com/video/mV3wrLBbuuE/video.html
      And we do use Algorithms in our automation.
      While designing your automation you want to use a structure but you don't know about the linked list or any other structure except Array then you will always use Array but may be linked list was a better choice in some cases
      Same goes for sorting algorithms, if you know only one then you will use it in every case but if you know other algorithms, you will analyze the problem and apply the best algorithm
      So having options is good for you, as you can decide which one is better.
      Assume you come across a graph based automation and you already know the algorithm to find all paths in a graph. So you never know when it comes handy.
      And many of the companies have one single repository for both development code and automation code. So, for the sake of code quality of the complete repo, you will be asked to write clean and time/space efficient code that you can achieve using DS and Algos.
