My friend used to play this song whenever he went to get his chemotherapy courses. He always came out unscathed. He was even telling me that his nausea and vomiting were mild. He passed away a few months ago. He was just in love with this band.

Because they are brilliant. Because they use easy sentences in my oppinion, and they repeat it for example "du liebst (du liebst du liebst du liebst)" and Till sings it very clear.....Fuck I love Rammstein. Makes me proud to be German, people from all over the world love Rammstein.

It’s just that the third part of the Deutschlandlied is the national anthem, not all of the Deutschlandlied.
Also it is a play on words:
Deutschland Deutschland über alles - like in the national anthem means Germany over everything,
while Deutschland Deutschland über allen means Germany over everyone!

Its a dyIng dialect. It was common for the countrymen in the east of Germany for a long time to roll the R.
Usually every german is able to roll R's, but the way Till roles it is rather dialect

I think this is an personal view of his country like reflexion
It is about a love/hate relationship between a German and his country concerning the war ridden history of Germany. He talks about how he wants to love his country but at the same time can't due to what they used to do.
