This worked great for me. I was able to install incompatible old software for my CCTV cameras back on my phone with Android 14. Thank you very much. Now I have ADB fastboot and sideload ready if I need it again in the future.
A ton full of thanks to the uploader for explaining the details in a way, that was pretty easy and straight forward to follow. Clear cut, easy to follow and using all the standard executables from the published websites. I appreciate the idea of adding the path to env variables, which made it much easier for me to run the ADB/Fastboot commands later, without having to navigate again and again. Just want to add a point for fellow viewers that, the link provided in the website, for downloading the Lenovo usb drivers is the old one and takes elsewhere. For that, I went ahead and downloaded the Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant, earlier known as Lenovo LMSA, which downloaded all the needed Lenovo drivers and thereafter, it was appearing in Device Manager successfully. A big thanks to the uploader once again... Liked and subscribed...Cheers!
Great iob on this simple, informational guide! Many people are often misled by youtubers and bloggers asking them to download a shady or a really old minimal package for adb, fastboot and drivers. Thanks a lot for using the official resources :D
Good tutorial, but dealing with windows is n overly complicated process. A simpler method to use adb/fastboot tools is to run a live session of ubuntu from a flash drive, then use 'sudo apt get' command to install the tools.
I try to do everything according to the instructions, but after connecting it to the computer, device manager does not show it.. there is only adb interface..
Hi . Great video. It was a big help ! But if I use any of the version 2 usb burning tool it does not find my tv box . If I use version 3 it finds my android box but when I try to load any of the custom firmware it gives me error startdetatched v2 usb burning tool failed /v2/usb burning tool. Exe is not exist. Any help would be appreciated
Hello bhai main apne phone ke fastboot mode me connect nahi kr pa raha hun or mere pc ke device manager me other device me Android connect show kr raha ha phir bhi connect nahi ho raha hai ab kya karu bootloader unlock krne ke liye.
Okay go in device manager once your phone is in fastboot mode. Then go to the android device shown in the device manager then follow the steps mentioned in the video for driver installation. There is separate driver for fastboot mode and adb mode. First you will have to download the drivers for your particular device check the usb driver links mentioned in the video. If you cannot find the OEM drivers for your particular device try using Google usb drivers links are in video description.
At 2:51 you said to type in a search but never showed where. I haven't seen such a search location in Windows 7. Looks like I can't go any further with the video because you lost me at this point. grrrr I think I ended up getting to the same place though by going to control panel - system - advanced system settings - advanced tab - environmental variables. Once I get there though, it's not the same as in your windows 8.1. Okay, finally figured out this step in Windows 7. Highlight the "path" entry as show in this video and click edit. The popup window is different in Windows 7. You have to add onto the existing path. Don't remove anything in the existing path. Add on this inside the parenthesis: ";C:\adb;".
