- I have loads of bags and "could probably start a shop" as my Mum would say..
This is by far my fave day bag. The North Face Borealis sling is made from recycled material too.
If you have any questions please ask below...
@TheNorthFace on CZcams
I couldn't find the actual sling on Amazon but here's The NorthFace store in case it gets added at some point - amzn.to/3io5wie
I bought mine from Surfdome, but shop around you can find them in a few colours from £25-45 (you know how internet shopping is!)
Its only £30 at the moment on the North Face website (plus shipping) - www.thenorthface.co.uk/shop/e...
"The North Face Borealis Sling is a shoulder bag made with recycled materials. The main fabric of the bag is made from recycled polyester, which is a type of synthetic fabric made from recycled plastic bottles. The padded shoulder strap is also made from recycled materials. By using recycled materials, The North Face is able to reduce the environmental impact of its products and help to conserve natural resources." - written by ChatGPT

My water bottle (I got mine from Lidl for £2.50) - amzn.to/3QkXfIv

Thank you! I just ordered mine! It’s a good size for what I need it for!
Hope you like it!
How order sir and how much the price...
I will be taking this to Sweden in 2 weeks - will be interesting to see how easy it is to fly/travel with it rather than just go out and about.
Thanks dude! Really helpful review and walkthru
Yeah thanks bro 😎
thanks man for review il get one
It’s quite handy but is also maybe a bit small
Great review bro
Glad you liked it
1:30 I thought this was a glasses compartment. And for a smartphone there is a compartment on the shoulder strap, although it is quite small for a smartphone 6,7".
Glasses work but as I don’t wear them other than for driving I didn’t even think of this.
Alright love on the puppers already
Say what?
I'm about 6'2" 200lbs. Do you think it would be too small for me? 🤔
Yup. The more I use it the more I think it’s too small for me.
@@TimFromWales I ended up getting the Patagonia Atom after trying out the borealis in store...MUUUUCH better.
@@TimFromWalesToo small for you in what way? Not enough space in the bag for your belongings? Or the strap is too short? Or what?
@@Amcacs5654 Its a snug fit across the chest. Could do with another 2 inches longer I think
Do you possibly know the length of the strap? Want to buy, but that is a concern.
About 35/36 inches. It’s snug. I’m 5’9 and Dadbod build
@@TimFromWales That's a lot longer than people were making it out to be in reviews.
@@soap6416this is a review and I’ve just measured it. How long have people been saying?
@TimFromWales People were claiming it can't fit an adult body at all. I assume they thought it could be worn loose on the body like a backpack; not tight like a cross body/sling bag. My current sling bag is adjusted much tighter than 35in, so this should work as an update
wow
I know right
hope someday i can get 1
Dare to dream
@@TimFromWales😂
@@TimFromWales where i can buy here in phils
Will it fit an iPad Air 11”?
No chance.iPad mini yes
I bought this, it's tiny and doesn't fit me. The strap needs to be longer.
The strap is a little short. But fits me just about right
Hello 2003
Thanks for the comment - but I don’t understand your point. The sling from North Face is quite new and there’s many bag and travel channels reviewing it right now. So I can only assume you meant 2023 not 2003. So thanks!
@@TimFromWales don't worry, wasn't being mean. I used to work in a surf/skate/snow shop 20 years ago and these bags were being done by Dakine. Cross body mini rucksacks. Just a jokey observation
@@IntoTheWhite04 it’s all cool. So many trolls out there you just get used to dicks having an unnecessary dig. I agree slings and cross body bags have been around for years. I think have 5 Dakine bags and waist packs mostly MTB gear - big fan of their kit. Out of interest how did you come across this video - were you a previous subscriber or did CZcams suggest me?
@@TimFromWales been subscribed for a couple of years. Think I searched "Wiltshire Mountain biking" as was moving back after 25 years in London . Grew up near durrington and moved to just down the road from Windhill.
I still have a Dakine rucksack from when I worked in that shop. It's top quality kit
It looks like the pouch on the strap is being pulled up too high. Probably by the weight of bag. I'd rather that pouch was lower on the chest and not right up near my face. You keep needing to pull it down, which is a shame.
Having just travelled with it on a multi day trip I can say I think it’s too small. Yes it slips too much and you have to adjust constantly
@TimFromWales I've just got the Patagonia Atom Sling. It's strap is definitely big enough. Not really tested whether it's going to slip yet.
@@matt4pAny thoughts on this pack versus the Patagonia Atom? I’m torn between those two as well as the Osprey Daylite sling
@RussC123 My wife has the North Face and I have the Patagonia Atom. I prefer the Atom as slightly bigger. It slips about a bit. The front pouch should have been repositioned as you almost lose it over your shoulder. It does the job though at carrying a water bottle, waterproof and a snack on a short hike.
@@matt4p thank you. Definitely leaning more towards the Atom now.
The north face purse.
Yeah - I’m considering handing it to my daughter.
To all bitchin about the strap being so short, its designed to be thrown over one shoulder not your over your neck and whole body. It's a sling!!!!!!!!
That’s not the case. The strap is mounted diagonally and doesn’t work over 1 shoulder.
