  • This is our Jay Miner Commodore Amiga 1000 Tribute Exhibit at VCF East 2019. Bill and Anthony team up with Team Atari for the 40th anniversary of Atari 8 bit home computers. Jay Miner is father of the Amiga , but was also a key player in designing the Atari 8 bit 400/800 series computers so our exhibit tells people a bit about Jay Miner as well as his history with Atari and Amiga. Bill set up a wild photo booth that allows people to get their picture taking with Jay Miner using a Commodore Amiga computer and DCTV. Anthony brought a very rare Atari 800XL teleprompter for everyone to check out. This video may be a bit light on information, but it is heavy on fun!

It is funny, that when we today look back. We see the clear connection that Atari and Commodore had. That connection was Jay and Amiga. Sure Commodore got the Amiga in the end, yet the Amiga just tied the history of both companies together in so many way's.

They were both inovating companies, putting new and inovating tech, in the hands of the average joe. And in the end, it wss the copy cat (Ms and Apple) that won the master race.
