In this episode, Dr. Dan Sadowski discusses the treatment approaches to constipation. Various options including fibre, osmotic and stimulant laxatives are reviewed.
Thank you so much! I really needed to know more about laxatives since I've been using stimulant laxatives long term. I finally stopped with using them a month ago but now I have severe constipation problems. Haven't had a movement in a month, and my doctor merely told me to use anti bloat medications, which don't work.
Because many (if not most) patients don't care about their illness/ treatment but rather have a fast food mentality ("I don't care how it's made or what it does to my body, I just want to be served, consume it and leave).
I had a Mini stroke a year ago. And now I'm very constipatipated and abdominal pain. I have had MRI, x. Rays, ct scans. Colonoscopy. They can't find anything wrong. I feel like the abdominal muscles and nerves were affected by the mini stroke. What can I do. Please help. Would biofeedback work?
You may want to consider a colostomy. I would also speak to a rehab professional they may have some exercises to help retrain the connection between your mind and your body's impulse to go.
Very educative video for the people those who managing their constipation problems.
Thank you so much!

Try to drink warm water until ur stomach feels completely filled
Then the water produces pressure which will give u relief within 10 to 15 minutes
And? Two years on did you regain bowel functionality?
Great video very well explained
Why don't doctors practice this kind approach ? They don't talk or let know patients these things!!!!
