The small wooden box @3:34 is quite possibly an old shoe shine box. The heavy handle on top, to prop your foot on while shining your shoe 😉 could be wrong but, pretty sure it is.

The box was a shoe box. The polish and brushes are kept inside and the recipients foot sits on the bar. Alot of good stuff in this house.

Thank you for your sympathetic and considerate tour of that lovely house. My Mum passed away recently and her home is still empty and left just as it was. I'm terrified people will break in and trash it, sadly not all explorers are respectful like you guys. It will be inhabited again soon and the spirits will have earthly company again. So many memories in these old houses, where do they all go? Thought provoking to say the least.

What an absolutely beautiful home. Everything left behind like they lived their life and poof gone. Did you figure out what happened to the family? Is there no one related to that family that could at least save those gorgeous belongings? Except for the decay the house looked like they were coming home any minute. Fascinating. Hi watching from Australia originally from Northern Ireland. I love explores like this , I like seeing things that I recognise from my childhood . Pretty much all the older people in my life had china cabinets filled with things . Anything silver or brass had to be polished. I remember my nana had cases filled with special cutlery , only to be used for special occasions, the cutlery was solid , heavy . Everyone had nice fireplaces with the tools . Sad when you see homes where everything has been left and I always wonder why . I migrated to Australia with my grandparents, they brought all there stuff out here with them. My nana was the last to pass away , in 2017 , family stole a lot of her belongings , particularly jewellery, I did manage to salvage her Royal Doulton china and her Waterford crystal, these were always special to her . Thanks for the video and for being respectful .

Great explore what a beautiful house. When you were in the lounge at the end using the spirit talker and they said behind you, if you look by the window it looks like a figure. Could just be the sun shining through but as you carried on it did seem to grow and look like a figure. Could just be a trick of the light reflecting but it was a bit weird. Thank you for another entertaining video x

Wow! If those walls could talk the wonderful stories of the family that once lived there. I love the hallway entrance and all the antiques. It almost seems like the family just stepped out for the day. So glad it wasn't ransacked. It's sad to see the house starting to decay along with all those wonderful memories of the family that once lived there. The video of the exploring was enough Matt! I was so intrigued of that place that all ghost hunting went out the window for me! Probably you as well by sounds of it! What I find that was! Seriously need to get in touch with some sort of family before the looters come! I’d hate that stuff to get taken!!

Great video Matt, what a awesome place. I explore a bit myself and have noticed that there is always loads of books left in these places, the older generation liked to read some were around before televisions so books were really important to them.

Very nice to see a place that hasn't been trashed by scumbags. Sadly, it probably will be eventually. If not, the roof will begin to leak over time and all those priceless photos and everything else will just be ruined. Damn shame.

The way those records are spayed out on the chair and a few other things, books etc. it's as though someone was appraising the possible valuables left behind 😕
think that's only for someone to get a photo of them, we find that people set up stuff for photos

Be interesting if the names were mentioned , actually lived there, my family pointed out that they were well educated so maybe they wouldn't of used grammar such as yeah or aye. Wonder what happened to them all. One claimed to be shot another a peaceful passing

FYI that old organ is a pump organ...you had to sit at it and pump the bellows with your feet to keep air coming to the reeds. These little old "home" organs had reeds instead of pipes.

Wow, this place does not look abandoned. It looks like they've covered the living room furniture, etc. as families do when they just take a long vacation, or go to their summer home, etc. I'm exceedingly glad that you never, ever give out location information on the places you visit. Thank you for that!
Now that I've seen the kitchen area, it's a sad shame it's in such bad shape, considering how perfect everything else is, up until that point. Just beautiful. I'm left to wonder if they did go away for holiday, and had an unfortunate accident, not surviving to make it back home again.
Out of all the places you and Adam have been, has there ever been a family member or friend of the family contact you, and given some history of the home, and what happened to the family?

That wooden box was for wood for the fireplace, I believe. The place is so stunning. The owners had such great sense for decorating. So classy. Such a shame. Gorgeous house. Maybe an accident wiped the whole family out. Polite spirits.
