Afterglow plays Firth of Fifth solo section

- In January 2010, @afterglow_band performed the Lamb lies down- concept album tribute. For encore number, we selected Firth of Fifth, as usual. During sound-check, we performed the solo section as well, and our camera crew filmed it...

the Casio AZ-1? this was our "mellotron" at that time. Midi keytar connected to a computer, running a VST mellotron plugin.

@@afterglow_band The AZ-1 is actually a very fine Midi keyboard with true aftertouch. But admittedly an unusual choice in a Genesis tribute band!
When the AZ1 came to us, it was broken. There was problems in the power section. after replacing some transistors, it is alive again. We used it a lot for the flute parts on the "Lamb lies down" production. it's kind of solution for the soloist to play the same parts as Peter Gabriel did, with mellotron flute sounds, but completely different lookin user interface. Should we return to this? maybe, in other projects.
