    Amazing project but, is really that compass at 9:07 a genuine GM NOS part???

      Yeah, from 67-70 the rear view mirror was screwed where the compass is so you couldn't get it but in 71 they started glueing the mirror to the windshield which allowed you to have the compass.

    Love everything about this build except the unsightly grease pencil marks scrawled all over the firewall in an attempt to look original...this looks terrible...if it's been repainted, ain't original, so why screw it up with all that garbage???

      Because you will see that on all high end restorations grease pencil and paint stamps . You may not like it but to call it garbage is well rude .
