This is hands down the best interview I've ever seen with the Lawrence brothers. These guys are legends. I can tell Joey is really the one who loves the spot light lol. It was so wonderful to hear Matt's story about his friendship with Robin Williams. I love how none of them seem to have ended up crazy or on drugs. They all appear to be mentally and spiritually healthy individuals. Disney Channel really has gone to crap. They don't make anything good anymore and they really don't produce stars anymore. I feel like 2007 was truly the end of Disney Channel. After High School Musical Disney Channel didn't make anything else good enough that left an impression on people. Also I totally agree that social media has kinda killed the process of star making. They are right that things become super popular in a second and then it's gone the next second. Nothing and nobody last long enough to really become iconic anymore. Everything Joey said about comedy being different in the 90's is so true. Comedy is more subtle these days. And I really do agree that people laughed harder in the 90's. Today people kind of chuckle at best but back in the day folks used to laugh from their gut. It's sad that comedy isn't as broad as it used to be. Love these guys and I hope to meet them one day.
I do believe that the prevalence of the internet and overall dependence on technology (which has really advanced a lot since the early 2000s is a big cause of all of that :( Less heart, more mind humans these days...
Matt is and always has been a sweetie. You can tell he has stayed so down to earth. I’m glad he listened to Robin Williams. Joey is cool but super spastic 🤣🤣🤣
