    Dont you have your spare-low-boots with you?
    In our group, everyone has to fit his low Boots, gamaschen, toiletry kit, towel, spare underwear, Schlupfjacke(Pullover), woolgloves, skarf, Drillich Uniform, iron ration, Equipment cleaning kit, Personal Stuff, Zeltbahn, Zeltequipment, Blanket and coat in or on it.
    Would be interesting to get a video, how you would store all that.
    Thanks!

      I don't personally have any low boots, since funds are tight. As for the rest of the video I did show where I packed most of what you listed with some of it I prefer to pack in my bread bag such as my rifle cleaning kit or gloves. The Great coat I have but it's just a pain to strap on lol.

      @@schnelletruppenreenacting1959 sure, you have a nice Kit.
      Just wanted to Point out that you can fit all of it, including the low boots into the Tornister.
      Give it a try, like tetris for historians 😹

    How did they keep the gear dry from rain etc.?

    • @Samknstuff
      @Samknstuff Před měsícem

      Usually you see in photos the soldiers will wrap their zeltbahn around their blanket/greatcoat and then the zeltbahn with keep the banket/greatcoat dry as well ans stopping rain getting to the inside.

    Anybody know why german/swiss tornisters has cow fur? For soldier heating?

      As far as I know it was to make the pack more weather-proof.
