@@ItsLarryGmine arrived today. So it does work using any powerbank but the brightness depends on how much power it gets from it. I had to go out and buy a 65w PD and usb-c cable that pumps out 20v/5a.

yooo glad I came across your review, been looking for a key light to use as a photographer who just dabbles in video. it coming with a bowens mount adapter and usb -c for the rare times I take it out of the home, this will probably be a cop.
Glad I could help you during your research. I use this light all the time and it's solid. Still holds up.
This light is good, but I'd but the Smallrig 60e (which is a little more expensive) over this. The smallrig is WAYYYY brighter at 100%. 30% brightness on the smallrig light is equivalent to 100% on this light. Ulanzi is made from very cheap plastic and I almost guarantee if you ever drop it, it's going to break easily. I'm keeping it still because it's still a good light. However I use the smallrig a lot more as it's way brighter and a lot more versatile. Also the buttons / knobs are better on smallrig. Almost impossible to see if it's up high. I do like how the Ulanzi has a Bowens Mount adaptor as smallrig doesn't. I guess I should just do a video comparison myself with these 2 lights lol.
Thanks for the info on the Smallrig. I assumed that it would be "better" based on name and price. I'd love to see a comparison between the two.
You definitely get what you pay for, but I've had this light fall over and not break. I would definitely recommend that you take care of it.
What about colour accuracy? Does it casts any colour?
I haven't done any extensive tests, but when I set my cameras to the color temperature of the light it looks fairly close. I'm not noticing any strange color casts.

I’ve been using this light as my main key light in all of my inside videos since releasing this one.
For inside talking head things it’s great. For anything that’s backlit against harsh direct sun it struggles.
As far as color, it’s still pretty accurate by the average user standards. High end videographers or reviewers who do technical tests may say otherwise but it works for me.
You tried powering this from an external USB power bank
I don't currently have a USB power bank powerful enough to provide power to it, however I know that if V mount batteries can power cameras, they can definitely power this light.
I have used a USB C power cable to power it. Something simple like the power brick that comes with most modern cameras and a long USB C cable.
