    I had this comparistion video on the works and this was the test file, but my computer got corrupted and the working file was lost and i couldnt finish the project.
    But i think it will be helpfull for many people out there, because it covers a lot of situations with examples :)Missing night shoots :(
    In the end i prefer the Sony just because of stabilization, but the visual quality of the Panasonic Really impressed me

    Wonderful comparison, very informative, thanks. Panasonic shows the air between objects, and the images of Sony brighter, but they lose a little in their naturalness, in my opinion.

    It was a toss up for me between these two before I ended up getting the Panasonic. In the end, it just really kept producing consistently good image quality and the image stabilization was great.

    i have owned both the AX700 and AX53. Both sold as they disappointed me due to the moire patterns when filming scene with lots tree or bushes. I used large sensor cameras normally which down sample to 4k so never see this problem. My question is 1) did you notice any moire on the AX53 or VXF1 2) if you did was one better than the other?

    HELLO. I finally purchased the Panasonic VX1 4K Ultra HD Camcorder (HC-VX1EG-K). My first impressions are that the zoom performance and daytime shots are very good. However, night shooting doesn't seem to meet my expectations. In some comments, it was said that this camera has the feature of pausing and resuming the video without stopping. But I couldn't do it anyway. I need information on how it is done.

    They are both good, but I thought the Sony had a slightly warmer colour balance in certain lighting conditions. The Panasonic looks a bit bit cool, especially the green colours. Can this be adjusted in camera?

    I've had both brands and my opinion is Sony AX53 > Panasonic HC-VXF1 and the Sony AX100 > Pansonic HC-X1500. The panasonic image quality looks as bad as a 4k smartphone in my opinion. Most likely due to the small sensor size. Sony seems crisper and more detailed.

    It is funny how the sony ax53 went up in price in the last couple of years. I bought the camera twice, once it broke, just a little bit of water splash and gone and once somebody stole it. Once i payed 500 and the second time 450 pounds. If you want to buy it now it costs 700, if you can find one. At the moment i am not sure which one to buy, i am looking to any options, this Panasonic, any Panasonic or Sony AX700. Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks for the video.

    Walks around with the panny not the sony ,,the panny seems more microphone sensitive but wat too much wind noise ,still the best comparasin video ,would just like too see stabilizaton comparison.

  • @BoothTheGrey
    @BoothTheGrey Před 2 lety +7

    I must admit that I find this footage a bit disturbing - 95% is zooming while standing still - the rest is walking around a motive. But... you literally filmed not once while you were walking normal just ahead. Like... you know... walking ;) - and not zoom but slightly move the cam around for the surrounding while you are walking/wandering.
    For me this is one of the most interesting usage for the stabilisator... and there is just no example there to make the comparison. How sad.
    But anyway - thanks a lot.

    • @BoomerStories
      @BoomerStories  Před 2 lety +2

      Agree, and this is somehow kinda incomplete i didnt finish what wanted to show due to time limitations and other projects but had some work done so i shared it as is.
      On the topic of stabilization, it has amazing stabilization much better than the latest phones, but when walking, running the footage is almost never usable for movie or documentaries or reviews.
      The FDR ax53 has this eletrocnic stabilization plus gimbal like tech, but in reality it helps to smoth normal movemnts and produce really cool paning or stabilized shoots...when runing or walking you will feel it doing a great job but the shoot will never be a great gimbal like scene.
      If you need some foothage of me runing or walking i can send you a small clip ;)

    • @BoothTheGrey
      @BoothTheGrey Před 2 lety +1

      @@BoomerStories Wow - thanks a lot for your reply. Footage not really necessary, cause I probably will go for a gimble anyway.
      Plan is to make a lot relaxation videos and therefor also long walking videos. Although there are a lot of those on youtube there are some types that are not - so hopefully I will do those :)
      But my last intense work with camcorder/videocamera is more than 10 years ago. In the end I probably gonna leave exact this price range aside and start with a cheaper one and when everythings turn out as I want it I am going to buy a better 1000-1500$ Camcorder.
      Anyway - thanks again for reply, the offer and the explanation - and all the best for you :)

      +1. I find it frustrating with photographers handling cameras as if they were spraypainting. Or zooming back and forth. This one were ok, though.
      And yes, the stabilization of Sony ax53 is outstanding.

  • @sliceoflife1821
    @sliceoflife1821 Před rokem +1

    I see the Panni being sharper and agree with others, better in low light. The Sony is warmer for sure, but those super bright scenes can always look warmer with an ND filter on the Panni. I will say the Panni's mic was surprisingly better than the Sony's. I wasn't expecting that. Using a pro mic on the shoe is obviously preferred, but very nice for the built-in mic. Those optical zooms are amazing for both cams! Thank you for uploading this work as it helped me solidify my choice to buy the Panni.

    • @BoomerStories
      @BoomerStories  Před 3 lety +2

      In 4k there is not as much Zoom as in 1080P...but having a 4k sensor alows for much greater zoom in 1080p as well as better stabilizations when zooming..its much easier to zoom in the sony because the stabilization on the camera is simply incredible. (Digital + Gimbal )
