Once a year, there is a day when many people visit Hiratsuka.
That is the Shonan Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival.
This year, it was held for three days from July 5th (Fri) to July 7th (Sun).
On Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival, over one million people from all over Japan visit Hiratsuka.
The first Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival was held in 1951 in hopes of recovery from World War II.
The highlight of Hiratsuka Tanabata Festival is undoubtedly the gorgeous Tanabata decorations.
This year, the Tanabata Festival was held on a grand scale.
