EXACLY, y'know, I don't think anyone can put some deep thought in how the amazing world of Gumball treats It's own characters without being a little dead inside, the more you think, the less you think anything matters, but I also think that's what make watching Gumball such a amazing such a amazing experience.
I’d like to think if Mathew was in a cartoon, it would definitely be the amazing world of gumball since there’s so many episodes of characters just taking everything seriously

I’m a little sad you were so harsh on Sussie (the chin girl). There’s a lot of weird characters in Gumball, but Sussie is is the strongest parallel to someone who is autistic/neurodivergent. Almost every time she’s a prominent part of the episode, it’s about accepting differences, looking through other people’s perspectives, and being kind to people around you.
I really like sussy and she does feel like a neurodivergent character. Almost makes me feel like Mathew would hate me if he saw me or other autistic people :(
Thankfully, I don't think Mathew means to be cruel or hateful here. He's only seen Sussie out of context, where there's a lot of focus on the show's gross-out gags with her. Still really disheartening that she didn't sit well with him, but I think that's more the lens he picked out for the series than a direct watcher-to-character thing.
Mathew is watching without context, and sussie’s design is ofc a little freaky, she’s a cutie and I love her, and I agree she’s probably intended as a sort of neurodivergent metaphor, if that’s the right word, but Mathew wouldn’t know anything about that, so him being freaked out by her is perfectly understandable
Definitely not context I was aware of, although I do remember mentioning how in one episode a character caused a chin character to be dropped and I wondered whether it’d be something that was actually a part of the lore.
But yeah, everything I’ve seen from them has been out of context weirdness and the visuals in the song from this video defs contributed to my reaction.
I will say, someone saying that it seems like I’d hate neurodivergent people feels like an unfair reach that upsets me, especially because ironically I am neurodivergent lol

So I get it, being neurodivegent myself I know to some I can look like an utter mess, hell I'll admit they may be right at times, but while watching I couldn't help it but be like "ohh no, they're gonna make him regret saying that in no time" and I'm sorry many don't seem to have the ability to laugh.
What can we do? Not everyone is so lucky you know hehe

I actually traveled to the US for Halloween last year! I had never left Europe, and while we do celebrate Halloween to a certain extend, the US was on a whole other level.
While I was in NYC lots of people - both kids and adults - were walking around in elaborate and fun costumes even days before! My friends and I also dressed up and accidentally ended up as PART of the big Halloween parade.
10/10 would join you in visiting the US and go trick or treating :D
For Nobody’s a Nobody, I feel it’s important to show the weirder and scarier side of the cast. It shows that no matter what, everyone is accepted and should be within reason

I feel like these characters are this weird for a point, all people should be accepted as people no matter what they look like or what they believe in (with acceptations don't quote me on that). Yea these people seem scary and gross, but nobody's a nobody, and everyone's a little weird. :)
I just like the message behind the song, and it's one of the only songs where a lot of the cast get to sing.

The Amazing World of Gumball: yes.
One thing that I find funny is that the original gumball in english purposely has bad/unpolished vocals but in brazilian portuguese (Im from brazil and watched it dubbed as kid) the songs just go HARD, they’re not ironic at all, they are just really well sung by the VAs!
True,but the mix of some songs in streaming devices are horrible
i think part of the reason is that Brazilian VAs usually have very clear and polished voices, so when they sing in dubs it comes out like that too
Same in Russian, especially planet song, it’s so freaking good in Russian dub

What I learned from this video: Matthew without Andrew is an unhinged, DANGEROUS person.
I personally, perhaps because I am one, see Sussie more as autistic then anything, and her representation of using colors and sounds and things that she enjoys to share with all people genuinely is a very nice way of placing such.
Along with some of her traits, it’s very sweet to see how loving they are throughout the episode/actually listen to her view point even if different or not commonly recognized as a persons behavioral traits positively.
Fun fact. The song Nobody's a Nobody in norwegian is called Alle Har Noe For Seg, which translates to 'everyone has something going for them.'

Ok but in the ending, Gumball wasn't actually telling him directions, he was probably just mentally cussing him out for interrupting.
Well Gumball has shown to do a LOT of toon force reality bending instances and meta wall breaking powers so yeah you can say he is a good rule of thumb if the cartoon character can do wild physics law breaking craziness it has toon force and is pretty much a God or above.
Wtf? People UNIRONICALLY judging Mattew for thinking Susie is super weird at the same time that she's also protrayed as "neurodivergent" is the most hyprocrite argument I've heard in my life. He's not hating on neurodivergent behaviour, but OUT OF CONTEXT straight WEIRDINESS moments of the character. Like, you pointing out that he's ableist because he saw Susie eat a fucking fly with a toad tongue and said "thats weird" is much more ableist on it's own. The character is neurodivergent AND weird. You can't just jump to accusations as harsh as these when Mattew is just a sweetie that did a pretty normal and funny video about gumball because you're triggered.
+Plus, all TWOG Characters are weird equally and have their weird moments that Mattew has also pointed in. The show is like that, he aint discriminating and he aint hating on neurodiverginess.
And TBH everyone's first reaction to susie before knowing she's neurodivergent was the same, she's nice and unhinged.
@@carolina1932 my first introduction to Sussie was the close up scene of her eating. I was pretty young so I did hate her because of that. Now I only dislike her because her design is still creepy to me(and it's hard for me to stop hating/not like something i hated as a kid. Don't know why.), but I do like her character.

? I’m Australia and we do trick or treating- probably depends on where I guess. Most years I go to this one friends house because she lives on this street near my old school where almost everyone either went to that school, goes to that school or teachers at that school. It’s actually really cool. Last year I did a Sundrop cosplay and went and stood, quiet and still outside peoples house and then take some candy and leave.
