Unfortunately it no longer does,they have also replaced the rest of the sox in derby meaning derby is completely wiped out of any old lanterns

I wonder why they kept this one when all the others got removed in the Derby area, probably been there since the 60's. Unique piece of history. I can't say modern street lighting is quite as beautiful as the old ones. I find the LED lights to be very harsh. There is something soothing about the warm amber glow of the old lights.

Sadly there are no more Thorn Alpha 1s in Derby no more the last lot on Robin croft road in Allestree have been removed over the last week
