Amazing run ❤! i'm trying to train my longsword vs seregios matchup and i've a question: how do you consistently counter the double flying kick with the iai spirit slash counter ? i always get hit by the second one, from the video the key seems to be the direction imput of the counter but i cant figure it out in practice.
He essentially knows the direction the second dive will be coming from and he makes sure to counter the first dive into the direction that will avoid the second dive.
Just use serene pose, in my opinion its alot better then iai spirit slash because it does alot more damage and its so much easier to pull off since it auto counters. I dont even use iai spirit slash at all because how short the frame to use and the lack of damage but at least it has good KO capabilities
When I see the long sword combo guide, I'm surprise that we have the same Idea, now watch this vid I'm happy to see Peppo still use good old ISS and Helm Breaker to get the job done, just add a little spicy with SSC , not much have change, this is an amazing run and its inspire me alot
@@markvermo7523 SSC charged attack require a lot of time to setup, but it doesn't cost wirebug so if a big opening is presented, SSC is a good choice, not.....the counter though, I still find ISS counter much easier to use. As for Harvest Moon I didn't use it even once, I'm still not at the level where I can use it effectively, Serene Pose can save my butt sometimes so I'm sticking with it
They use red to lay the moon field and generate sword gauge with special sheathe, then spend gauge on helm breaker. On a knockdown or big window, they then swap to blue for either sacred sheathe or Sakura slash into one
So about 1:27 you finish the combo, but then you move backwards into a double slash as if you'd unsheathed while moving? I don't think I've done that before but it seem useful. What input is that? Thinking about it I always roll out or special sheathe after that combo so I've never tried anything else.
Mind if i ask?? Does the seregios weapons mechanics(increase weapon sharpness when you roll 7/8 times) still works in mhr sunbreak or they remove it???
I think it's as good as it can get, for now (I mean do you even need to optimize more? This is already better than what's even realistically possible for the average player). Good luck if you think there's any possible way to improve on this build though. All you'll need is a talisman/charm better than theirs. Before it felt pretty easy to get high damage, but now you actually have to use every tool and it's awesome. Probably feels amazing to play
Thing is you will never be able to pull this off within party, I think combo video one is more of easier way to do best dmg and still be able to use in party play
@@arthurboyle7982 i don't know, i don't get why people say LS had a very low skill ceilling before, you need to play very well to use the counters, for me it was med/high skill floor very high skill ceilling, but now it feels more as you said, low skill floor (very if harvest moon is used) high skill ceilling. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't garbage if you missed, but to use it well (i don't talk about optimisation wich was in my opinion really skillfull) wasn't that easy. Now i find the gameplay more yolo, and strangly enough more easy for casuals... By the fact now you don't need as much to have the monster's attention with sakura slash and sacred sheath combo, wich make the weapon more viable in multiplayer scenarios. And you don't as much need to know the good timmings to counter and punish monsters, now you can just sakura slash to charge up, switch to old gameplay as a filler, and when an oppening is arround just SSC and deal damage... no more dance mandatory. I already hear LS haters yelling this weapon is still omega god tier and can be played by a blind monkey...

is getting a crit boost lv 2 + wex lvl 2 with a 3,1,1 slot even possible? Most of these speedruns on PC should be voided due to modded talismans but idk if the talisman pool got updated to the point where this build is possible
it was always possible and 100% legal, just 1/300 billion odds so literally every single speedrunner has to use modded charms otherwise they can't keep up

SSC doesn't seems to be optimal for speedrun, it more suitable for casual play, funny content and meme. Old style with Harvest Moon still better.

i said before helmbreaker better dps than ssc..but helm breaker to sakura slash to fc ssc combo against a down monster is the best combo..

The removed it as weapon passive instead you need to skill it. You also need to dodge an attack it won't work on roll spam

as you're charging the SSC you press your dodge button. also the blade has to be fully sheathed while charging the SSC

It’s spirit reckoning slash that replaces the round slash, the no spirit gauge consumption is from harvest moon that replaces serene pose

yes it does speed up the charge but its not worth cause on focus 3 its only like 0.3 seconds that u get out of it and quick sheath gives u way more

It turns off riding on attack
Man this was the only monster to cart me and he carted me 15 times before i got my first slay. Took me 17mins to get the job done he fleed 4 times.
